Chapter 582
"Don't try to fool me. I know he's not in the room,’ Megan said, her voice filled with frustration.
"Ms. Megan, Mr. Leopold is indeed in the room. The man you saw earlier was about six feet tall, while Mr.
Leopold is six foot two. How could it be him?" the bodyguard explained.
Megan rolled her eyes in annoyance. "You have eagle eyes or something?"
It was pitch black. How could anyone discern the height of another so clearly?
“Our job requires us to have perfect vision’ the bodyguard replied expressionlessly.
Megan was momentarily at a loss for words. This bodyguard was seriously loyal.
Soon after, the ambulance arrived and whisked her away to the local hospital on the island.
From a distance, William watched the scene unfold with a sly grin playing on his lips.
Finally, things would quiet down a bit.
The doctor advised Megan to stay overnight at the hospital to ensure the baby's safety.
Leopold called, and Megan burst into tears upon hearing his voice. “Honey, can you come and be with me? I don't want to stay here alone."
Leopold's voice came with reproach. "I’ve told you to rest in the room. Why on earth did you go wandering around the rocky beach at night? Don't you know it's slippery and you could fall? If anything happened to our child, I'd never forgive you."
Megan felt a surge of guilt washing over her. "I thought you might be there, and I just wanted to find you."
Leopold snorted. "Didn't I tell you I was in a meeting in my room? Why would I go to that godforsaken place in the middle of the night?"
Megan's tears flowed more freely. "Leopold, it was my fault. Please don't be mad. The doctor said the baby is fine, and I can leave the hospital tomorrow."
“I'll come to get you tomorrow. Try to get some sleep and stop getting into trouble,’ Leopold said before abruptly ending the call.
Megan felt like she was being played like a fool. Could it be that Aurelia had orchestrated this whole scenario?
Did Aurelia send her son to lure Megan to the rocky beach in hopes of her having an accident? That woman was just too cunning.
He pulled her close, replying, “Or would you prefer to go to my room?"
Aurelia pouted. "I need to keep an eye on William."
"So I'll stay here with you," he said as he stood up and scooped her into his arms. "Together for a shower."
Aurelia playfully punched his shoulder. “You don't care about Megan, do you? She's still in the hospital."
"The quieter, the better, he said, his smile turning into a cold and mischievous arc. Nobody could disturb them.
Aurelia seriously wondered if Leopold was addicted to sneaking around. Indeed, the allure of the forbidden was too tempting.
"Be gentle. Don't wake William,’ she whispered.
“I know,’ Leopold said as he strode into the bathroom with her in his arms.
Aurelia was too intoxicating. Whenever Leopold saw her, his hormones surged, urging him to conquer. He was utterly beyond control.
Only she had the power to make him lose it.
