Melissa simply couldn't grasp what Aurelia was going on about, completely out of her depth.

“What's with Megan's status? She's high society, born with a silver spoon. You, a nobody, aren't even fit to be her maid."

“It's not for you to decide whether I'm worthy or not. You better mind your own business before you end up in over your head,’ Aurelia shot back, not wanting to entertain them any longer. She beckoned Yuna and shooed them out.

Melissa glared at her venomously before storming out of the tent.

Once they were gone, Aurelia lost her appetite for games and wandered outside as dusk settled.

Megan, in a panic after being bitten by a mosquito, scurried into her tent. Being pregnant, an allergic reaction was the last thing she needed.

Melissa, still fuming from Aurelia's scathing words, was determined to get even for herself and Megan.

After a generous spritz of bug spray, she caught up with Aurelia.

"Don't think just because Kane is the Stirling farnily's firstborn grandson he can challenge Megan. Once her son is born, Kane will have no claim to the Stirling inheritance."

“The Stirling family has a strict policy of keeping daughters out of family affairs. Who becomes the heir is none of your concern,’ Aurelia retorted.

Melissa scoffed, "I'll see to it that Megan's child becomes the heir. That little upstart, Kane, isn't fit to lead"

Aurelia looked at her with a hint of pity and thought, “With that attitude, she is a real disgrace to the Stirling family"

"Have you ever wondered why Jessica won't let Megan be a Stirling? Why did she publicly declare her child illegitimate?"
