Melissa was speechless for a while before she replied, “Megan, we're just looking out for you. You're pregnant and you've been bitten by a nasty bug. It might be better to rest up at the hotel. We're not heading back tonight, and if something happens to you, we'd have to haul you back, and that'd put a damper on everyone's fun."

Megan retorted, “I'm feeling fine, and what could possibly go wrong?"

“The sea is rough, and the boat's rocking like crazy. Are you sure you can handle it? Leopold is just thinking of the baby, after all, it's his child. You can't be so headstrong,” Melissa reasoned.

Megan was taken aback to find Melissa spouting wisdom at her. Was the world turning upside down?

She stood up, “William, Skyler, I'm off to make your favorite, barbecued eel."

She thought, “Such a schemer, always trying to seduce Leopold at every turn."

Melissa handed her a big coconut. Despite Megan on the dark side, she wasn't planning to cut ties with Megan.
