Chapter 673
The twisted soul of a creep like that would never do a good deed unless he had been scared out of his wits.
Despite his young age, my boy has quite a sharp tongue.
William pulled a face. "I spooked him with a ghost story. Can you believe it?
He thought about donating and then asking for a refund. What a rare breed of weirdo."
Arnold smirked with a hint of mockery. "A high school dropout scoundrel could do anything. Be careful with these types, kiddo. You're still young, and if he gets desperate, you could get hurt."
William sneered with disdain. "Uncle Leopold and the bodyguards were there.
He nearly wet his pants seeing us. Guys like him only bully the weak. Deep down, he's a coward."
"Safety first, regardless,’ Arnold cautioned.
William nodded, showing he understood. He and Skyler went to check ona little kitten at the vet clinic the following day.
The kitten's wounds were healing, but it was still jittery around strangers due to past trauma.
"Hey there, Mittens,’ William waved. “I'm William. I've got great news for you.
Daddy has agreed to adopt you, so you won't have to go to the shelter."
Mittens had been arching its back, fur on end. But upon seeing William and hearing his voice, recognition seemed to dawn on the little creature. It relaxed and meowed softly.
William broke into a grin. “Skyler, Mittens remembers us."
Skyler nodded with a smile. “Sometimes, animals are nicer and more grateful than humans. They never forget... Animais will always be like that, while some people don't even deserve to be human."
"Those who refuse to act humanely should fearn their lesson, like that cat abuser,’ William said firmly.
