Arnold ruffled William's hair with a chuckle.
Aside from his looks, a spitting image of Leopold, William was all Aurelia. He had inherited more of his mommy's genes.
Kane, on the other hand, was like Leopold's clone, through and through.
Skyler chuckled. "Genetics is a complex thing with its randomness. Some kids might inherit the best of both parents while others, unfortunately, get the short end of the genetic stick."
Aurelia thought Skyler and Geoffrey as two sides of the same coin.
Tanya must have been so sharp as to have set up such a formidable underground network. Geoffrey had inherited all of her dark traits.
Arnold served her a piece of fish. "Tomorrow is Valentine's Day. How about going out to sea and stargaze?"
Aurelia smiled softly. "Do you remember the Stirling family hosts a knitting art party at Magnolia Heights every Valentine's Day? All the girls in the family come to show off their knitting skills, and I want to join in the fun."
Arnold grinned. "Right, I did forget. It's usually girl stuff, so I rarely go. But since you want to, I'll tag along."
Her smile turned to a teasing one. "I'll ask Lisa to bring Nova too. When she's a bit older, she can join in. Little Nova loves being in a crowd. She's not shy at all. She'll be thrilled with all the older girls around."
Arnold's smile faltered slightly. "Since when did you and Lisa get so chummy?"
He always felt Aurelia was trying to set him up with Lisa, always nudging them together behind the scenes.
Aurelia glanced at him lightly and replied, "We get along great. I'm into jewelry design, and she's into fashion design. We're both creatives, so we got plenty to talk about."
She paused, then added, "You know me better than anyone. I don't have many close friends. Besides you, my dear confidant, I don't even have a gal pal to gossip with. Sometimes, I do want to chat with another girl and spill the tea. The kind of stuff only women can talk about, right?"
She blinked her eyes playfully.
