“You may not know this yet, but Evelyn Alcott was Mr. Leopold’s chosen one from the moment he took over Astral Enterprises. His plan was to replace Kelly with her.”

Aurelia took a sip of her coffee, “Thank you for your recognition, Mr. Cooper. I always see my commitments through to the end. Regardless, I will complete the design of the new product, even if it’s the end, it has to be perfect.” 

Elvis smiled knowingly, “I’m looking forward to your new work. The door to Ethereal Gems will always be open for you.” 

Outside the café, a black Rolls–Royce was parked under the shade of a tree. 

The man inside had a stern expression, a cold light flashing in his eyes. 

The driver, Kevin, glanced at him, “Mr. Leopold, it seems Elvis is inviting Ms. Hawthorne to his company.” 

He snorted, “A severed branch!” 

“Industry insiders aren’t optimistic about Ms. Hawthorne’s chances against Evelyn. I fear Ms. Hawthorne isn’t optimistic either,” Kevin reminded him quietly. 

Leopold’s icy gaze deepened, as if enveloped in darkness, freezing even the sunlight into ice crystals. 

As Aurelia and Elvis left the café, they ran into Arnold and Avery who were there to see her. 

Elvis greeted Arnold and left. 

Arnold watched him leave, jokingly, “Mr. Cooper wasn’t here to headhunt, was he?” 

Aurelia smirked, “I haven’t sold myself to Astral Enterprises. Job–hopping is normal, isn’t it?” 

Arnold sighed, “Your departure would definitely be Astral’s loss.” 

A sarcastic smile played on Aurelia’s lips, “Your brother doesn’t think so. He favors Evelyn, not me.” 

“In that case, I support your job–hopping. Let him regret it,” Arnold teased.
