“No way, Jessica. Which side of the family tree are we talking about here? The Stirling family or the Heninger family?”

To her, it was probably the Stirling family. After all, the Heninger family was an ocean away, and it was unlikely that Megan had reached that far to stir up trouble, right?

Jessica said, “The DNA testing center will conduct further tests. No matter what, we need to get to the bottom of it. I can’t wait to find out which rotten apple has spoiled the barrel.”

“You're right. We have to expose and cut the rotten ones out of the family. It’s disgraceful,” Leah declared with righteous indignation.

Tanya felt a nerve twitch violently in her head, thinking that Jessica couldn’t be more cunning, stabbing them in the back and leaving the child in the clutches of the Stirling family. Rescuing the child would be a difficult task.

If they found out the child wasn’t related to Megan by blood, all hell would break loose.

“Could there be some mix-up with the paternity test results?”

“If Leopold had indeed taken the child, it would be the perfect opportunity to clear things up once and for all,” Jessica said gravely.

Tanya was internally panicking, grateful that Jessica hadn't suspected her and had confided in her. Otherwise, she’d be in a real bind.

Skyler nibbled on a piece of toast, his tongue peeking out playfully.

“Angel, Leopold is unfortunate, surrounded by so many villains. I want to protect him.”

“Mr. Leopold is the most formidable man in Elysium, a true iron fist. I trust that anyone who tries to harm him will only end up shooting themselves in the foot,” Angel assured confidently.
