Chapter 48 She Rarely Thought of Josiah
It was another month before Lysander ever heard any news of Josiah and Lysanne,
Daphne came to the hospital and made an appointment with her just to tell her the news. When Lysander saw Daphne walking in as a “patient”, she was taken aback. “Are you pregnant?”
Daphne closed the door behind her and patted her belly, smiling at her.
Lysander became even more flustered. “Are you really pregnant…?”
“Haha! Don’t be scared. What’s in my belly is not a child. It’s a melon.
Daphne sat opposite her and started rattling off, saying. “Josiah’s company is in big trouble!!
Lysander’s only reaction was indifference. “Why are you telling me this? I don’t understand business.”
“Do you know why it’s in trouble?”
Lysander did not speak.
“It’s Lysanne. I don’t know what’s wrong with her. She went to the company and caused a scene, saying that Josiah’s secretary seduced Josiah. It caused a big uproar in the city.”
Lysander tried to recall the name. Ms. Collins?”
“I don’t remember her last name. I just know that the secretary is a woman,” Daphne said. “Do you think that it’s possible Ms. Collins was imitating someone and tried to be friends with Josiah?”
Lysander shook her head. “Ms. Collins is already married and has children. When she was pregnant with her third child, she even came to me for check-ups. Also, she is a decent person with a good relationship with her husband. Her husband is very protective of her.”
“I knew it.” Daphne looked like she had expected that the entire time. “Lysanne is so paranoid. Si she climbed up to where she was using that method, she’s afraid other women might do the same She’s on high alert now, not even letting go of a secretary who’s married and a mother.”
“What happened next?”
Daphne shrugged. “Lysanne was pregnant, crying, and causing a scene in the company. No one dared to help her, afraid of getting into trouble. In the end. Ms. Collins handed in her resignation and left a month ago.”
Lysander had met Ms. Collins before and felt that she was a very calm and capable woman. It seemed like she had been with Josiah for many years. When Lysander married Josiah, Ms. Collins was already his secretary.
A good career was ruined by Lysanne, and that made Lysander feel sorry for Ms. Collins.
“Here comes the main point. As Ms. Collins had already left, this matter should have come to an end with much livinur their num lium Homesne 1 venne is pill not esticfied Shemada her concin ma wovel «

Chapter 48 She Rarely Thought of Josiah
“Her cousin? Was he also studying to be a secretary?”
“Rubbish!” Daphne said. That cousin of mine is just a good-for-nothing playboy. I heard he didn’t even graduate from junior high school. How can he be a secretary? He only worked for a few days and managed to mess up the whole company, even losing a very important document. As a result, the contract that was originally agreed upon couldn’t be signed, causing Guerra Group to directly lose a deal worth several billion!”
Lysander listened quietly, occasionally flipping through the medical records she had on hand.

Update pls~...
Why no update ???...
Chapters 692 693 ans 694 are impossible to read. Not sure if there was an issue with translation.but the words do not make sense..impossible to follow story line...
I cant get over the fact that the writer is trying to show as if the male lead has committed a grave sin. First he didnt know she was pregnant because she never told him. Second right from the start she never communicated anything. She was unbothered even during her marriage. I am not saying the male lead is great but atleast he seems like a human with emotions unlike her. And there is no context for why she is so emotionless....
The female lead is not charming but an unbothered b word, there is a very big difference. There is no point of extending this story at all because even if you write 1000+ chapters at 1001 the male lead would still be doing everything for her and she wouldnt bat an eye even if someone killed him. I mean honestly either the start should have been written better where we do understand that she was deeply affected because of her divorce or just STOPPPPP. Even for fiction it is annoying....
