Adrian turned to look at the girl, who was surprisingly pretty. This was the girl that Emerson and Ronan had bumped into on the street a few days ago, the one Emerson thought resembled Cordelia.
Adrian, however, didn't see any resemblance between the girl and Cordelia. He had grown up with Cordelia despite their animosity, so he knew her all too well. Hence, he didn't have the same feelings as Emerson. He simply thought the girl was innocent-looking and quite attractive. He felt like showing off a bit in front of her.
"You don't believe me?" Adrian asked, strutting like a peacock.
"I really don't."
"Well, now you've riled me up. I'll take you to Ronan's one of these days and show you. I can't believe he's been deceiving me, his own in-law," Adrian declared.
"You're not serious, are you? You better not be lying!"
"I'm not. What's your Messenger ID? Tell me. I'll add you and take you to his place this coming Saturday," Adrian said, thumping his chest.
"Alright." The girl took out her phone and told Adrian her Messenger number.
Adrian thought to himself, “This girl is naïve and easy to trick. I got her Messenger ID just like that.”
"What's your name, girl?" Adrian asked.
"Tabitha."
"Tabitha?" Adrian was not very cultured and couldn't help but laugh upon hearing her name.
Tabitha felt offended by Adrian's laughter, but she needed to use him, so she bit her tongue.
"Oh, I don’t know how to spell it. Why don't you show me?" Adrian teased Tabitha.
Tabitha took Adrian’s phone and changed her contact name.
"See you this Saturday, no excuses," Adrian said.
