Corinne did not quite buy into Emily's claim of not wanting to know, so she continued, "Moonlight flowers are being grown In the Riveras' garden. It's exceptionally beautiful, rare, and notoriously challenging to grow."
Emily was taken aback. She looked at Corinne in shock. "What…?"
"Maxwell told me it was his wife's favorite flower. He spends almost every day meticulously caring for those flowers. Oddly enough, he didn't seem to pay much attention to his current wife. They rarely spent time together. In fact, they slept in separate beds."
Emily was stunned by this unexpected information. She looked at Corinne with a mix of confusion and surprise. "Moonie, why are you telling me all this?"
Corinne pursed her lips. "Just sharing what I observed and heard at the Riveras' residence. Oh, and I also heard that Maxwell didn't want to marry his current wife. Their two children were conceived through medical means."
'What?! Conceived through medical means?' thought Emily in shock.
Corinne shared no further information after that and went back to eating her sandwich. She did not want to speak favorably of the Riveras or her emotionally distant biological father. Everything she said was based on the facts she knew.
Corinne did not want to bring up the matter with Emily. However, Melinda's advice encouraged her to share in the hope that it might help Emily move on from the past and find peace in her later years.
After finishing breakfast and chatting about some unrelated matters, Corinne picked up Joey and went back to the pediatric ward since it was almost time for the nurse to do a checkup on the little boy.
Emily did not keep Corinne any longer after learning the situation.

This book is getting boring now. I loved Jeremy, Corinne, Sonny and Lucas. The story needs to end. or bring back more of Jeremy, etc....
I haven't skipped any chapter at all. Though the story is good, it keeps going back to base one. I think this has no ending at all and somehow after reading more than 2500 chapters it's kinda tiring already. They have drained all the thrills....
Great writing! I almost cried when Helen hit Melody! So sad! 😭 can’t wait to see how the relationship with her and Lucas develops though. So tired of the repetitive problems with different people....

my heart breaks for melody, so many ups and downs, i shed a few tears when lucas walked by melody carrying thalia, and melody stayed quiet while watching them leave. i find myself getting into character as if im one. i dont remember ever feeling like that in any other books. im thankful the 10 chapters/day. waiting for the next 10...
