The Day I Kissed An Older Man novel Chapter 2012

Melody could never accept a favor without a good reason.

"Thank you, Grandma, but I'm sure I can find a job myself. After all, I'm quite talented! Tee-hee!" Melody tried to lighten up a bit as she turned down Beatrice's offer.

Beatrice did not want to push her, so she decided to change the subject. "So, how was your movie date with Lucas?"

Melody was instantly reminded of their kiss again.

She lowered her eyes and answered uneasily, "It wasn't bad, Grandma. Though, why didn't you tell me that it was his birthday? I could've prepared a present to give him."

"The fact that you're willing to marry him is the best present you can get him," said Beatrice with a bright smile. Judging by Melody's expression, something must have happened that day.

At that moment, Melody's phone buzzed. She looked at her phone and found that it was a new number.

"See, Grandma. Told you I'd get a job. Now, excuse me, I need to get this!" said Melody as she stood up and walked to the floor-to-ceiling windows.

"Hello?"

"Hello, is this Miss Melody Sander?" asked the female caller respectfully.

"Yes, I am. And you are?"

"Hi, Miss Sander. I'm Jelena Moore from Breeze Entertainment. We're currently working on a new movie, and we're wondering if you'd be interested in playing the female lead," explained Jelena.

"A movie?" Melody was puzzled. "There must be some sort of misunderstanding."
