Actually, when Melody moved out, she was already prepared to distance herself from Lucas gradually. However, she still felt immense pain when she saw the intimate photo of him and Thalia.
It turned out that love, or lack thereof, really had nothing to do with rationality. Her rationality told her to wake up and maintain a simple contractual relationship with Lucas. However, she watched helplessly as the balance of her emotions tilted toward Lucas.
'Does it mean I still like him, seeing as I'm hurting now because of him? If only I could be as heartless as him. He simply just faked concern for me when I said I wanted to move out while quickly becoming intimate with another woman. At the end of the day, I met Lucas later than Thalia, so maybe they were already close to start with,' thought Melody.
There was a shoot the next morning. Monica knocked on Melody's door to ask if she would like to have breakfast together. However, she was startled by how Melody looked as soon as the door was opened.
"Oh! What happened to your eyes? Why are they so swollen? Even if there's a crying scene today, there's no need to stay up all night and have them swollen like this."
Melody forced a smile, avoiding Monica's scrutinizing gaze. Perhaps Monica did not mean any harm, but Melody felt uncomfortable by the way she was looking at her. She did not want Monica to know that she had spent half the night tossing and turning, unable to sleep because of a man.
Later on, she was just too exhausted to even know what time she fell asleep. When Monica knocked on the door, she was startled awake, feeling utterly drained.
"Maybe it's just that I'm not used to the bed in this dormitory, but it's okay since there's a crying scene today, so it doesn't matter if I look like this."

This book is getting boring now. I loved Jeremy, Corinne, Sonny and Lucas. The story needs to end. or bring back more of Jeremy, etc....
I haven't skipped any chapter at all. Though the story is good, it keeps going back to base one. I think this has no ending at all and somehow after reading more than 2500 chapters it's kinda tiring already. They have drained all the thrills....
