Melody was genuinely surprised. Thalia had been acting nice to her in front of Lucas all these days but revealed her true colors as soon as they were alone!
"Miss Thalia, are you mistaken? You should be the one to stop coming in between Lucas and me. Isn't it enough that you secretly sent that photo to me last night, and now you want to warn me to my face?"
Even in her anger last night, Melody could guess that Thalia must have deliberately sent that intimate photo to her. There was no way it could have been a slip of the hand.
Moreover, they had only added each other as friends but never sent anything. Thalia had to find her contact to send that photo specifically. Then she waited before deleting it, claiming she sent it to the wrong person. Melody did not believe Thalia would actually send that photo to Lucas.
"Melody, you know how long I've known Lucas. How dare you accuse me of coming in between you two? If it weren't for you, I would be the one with him right now. You're the one who stole Lucas from me! I advise you to know your place and stop trying to break us apart!"
Melody had thought many times about how to face Thalia, but she never imagined that they would end up tearing each other apart in the restroom of a restaurant. In private, she could feel sad and jealous about the years of history between Thalia and Lucas. However, once Thalia provoked her, she would not back down.
What mattered even if Lucas and Thalia had many years of history between them? At the end of the day, it was Melody who signed the contract with Lucas! They were the ones who were married to each other.
"Miss Thalia, before you say such things, why don't you consider where you stand? It doesn't matter how long you've known Lucas because there's a legally binding marriage contract between us, while you're just an old friend of his returning from abroad. Have you ever considered that you have no right to ask me to stay away from him?"
Thalia had to admit she underestimated Melody. She did not expect Melody to respond that way. In fact, she remained unfazed and smiling as she countered Thalia.
Thalia had thought that after she said these things, Melody would surely leave on her own accord!

This book is getting boring now. I loved Jeremy, Corinne, Sonny and Lucas. The story needs to end. or bring back more of Jeremy, etc....
I haven't skipped any chapter at all. Though the story is good, it keeps going back to base one. I think this has no ending at all and somehow after reading more than 2500 chapters it's kinda tiring already. They have drained all the thrills....
