The leader's gaze was cold and unflinching, sending shivers down the spine. The skinny man nodded slightly. "Yes, boss, don't worry. I won't spend this money. I know there's plenty to be earned by following you!"
Satisfied with his response, the leader smiled. "Good. Go along then."
He casually pointed to another person, instructing him to go with the skinny man. The skinny man felt somewhat dissatisfied but dared not show it, so he could only nod obediently.
It was not until they both got into the car headed for the town that he spat out, "Pah, who does he think he is? How dare he order me around? I've been doing this far longer than he has!"
Little did he know that the person sitting beside him was a loyal follower of the leader. He became immediately displeased when he heard what the skinny man said.
"Hey! Watch your mouth! Have you forgotten that it was because of the boss that we were this close to a fortune? Otherwise, you wouldn't even have two pennies to rub together right now!"
The skinny man knew he had hit a wall and quickly put on a smile. "I was just feeling really frustrated, that's why I blurted out like that. Please don't take it personally! We're all in the same boat, right? Why draw such clear lines? I also support the boss. After all, we wouldn't be having a good time without him, right?"

This book is getting boring now. I loved Jeremy, Corinne, Sonny and Lucas. The story needs to end. or bring back more of Jeremy, etc....
I haven't skipped any chapter at all. Though the story is good, it keeps going back to base one. I think this has no ending at all and somehow after reading more than 2500 chapters it's kinda tiring already. They have drained all the thrills....
