Melody even wanted to ask Lucas why he looked at her like that. Did everything change because Thalia came back? However, deep down, she knew that she would have lost once she asked those questions. No one would be more pitiful than her.
In a relationship, the one who loves more often finds themselves in a passive position. She had already fallen into such a dilemma, and she did not want to be a bigger embarrassment.
However, when she was alone, she could not help but curl up and cry. She could not help but wish she could turn back time to start all over again, back to the point where she had not fallen for Lucas.
In the hospital ward, Thalia turned away, still furious with Lucas.
She could not understand why Lucas would believe Melody so much. Clearly, she had suffered such serious injuries because of that woman, yet Lucas was still speaking up for her. All of this made her increasingly disgusted with Melody. There must be some trickery involved. Otherwise, why would Lucas, a smart man, not believe her?
Perhaps it was because she was not convincing enough, so Thalia decided she needed a few people to speak for her.
"Don't worry, I'll definitely make sure you get justice in this matter. You rest for now. I'll go buy you something to eat. Whatever you want, just tell me, and I'll have Lynette make it for you," promised Lucas.
Thalia immediately turned back around to face him, "You better make good on your promise, Lucas."
Seeing that Thalia was finally willing to talk to him, Lucas felt slightly relieved. "I'll go out and buy you something first."

This book is getting boring now. I loved Jeremy, Corinne, Sonny and Lucas. The story needs to end. or bring back more of Jeremy, etc....
I haven't skipped any chapter at all. Though the story is good, it keeps going back to base one. I think this has no ending at all and somehow after reading more than 2500 chapters it's kinda tiring already. They have drained all the thrills....

my heart breaks for melody, so many ups and downs, i shed a few tears when lucas walked by melody carrying thalia, and melody stayed quiet while watching them leave. i find myself getting into character as if im one. i dont remember ever feeling like that in any other books. im thankful the 10 chapters/day. waiting for the next 10...
