"I was supposed to shoot a commercial for a company, and the advertiser specifically requested me. But just because of Melody, I lost that opportunity. Helen, that scheming daughter of yours should compensate me. Hasn't she caused me enough misery already? Now I have to suffer because of her again. It's just not fair!"
Helen felt ashamed. "Melody...isn't the one to bully anyone, right? Besides, there's always some scandal going on in the entertainment industry. Every day, it's either criticizing this person or that person. We shouldn't always believe the rumors that go around."
Wendy rolled her eyes. "Have you forgotten how she got me into trouble before? Will your daughter only be satisfied to see this family ruined?"

Upon sensing Helen's reluctance to help her, Wendy immediately released her arm and hugged herself. She stood coolly to the side.

Wendy turned and left.
Helen hurriedly chased after her, grabbing her wrist. "Wendy, don't be angry. Let's not make a scene. Your father had to pull a lot of strings to get you out last time. It won't end well if you get into trouble again."
Wendy stopped in her tracks, showing a disdainful expression as she faced away from Helen. She always knew how to manipulate her ever since she was young.

This book is getting boring now. I loved Jeremy, Corinne, Sonny and Lucas. The story needs to end. or bring back more of Jeremy, etc....
I haven't skipped any chapter at all. Though the story is good, it keeps going back to base one. I think this has no ending at all and somehow after reading more than 2500 chapters it's kinda tiring already. They have drained all the thrills....

my heart breaks for melody, so many ups and downs, i shed a few tears when lucas walked by melody carrying thalia, and melody stayed quiet while watching them leave. i find myself getting into character as if im one. i dont remember ever feeling like that in any other books. im thankful the 10 chapters/day. waiting for the next 10...
