Tasha bit her lip, hoping Thalia would consider this.
Meanwhile, Thalia remained unconscious in the hospital bed. Lucas, after confirming she was okay, left.
However, he did not go back home. Instead, he drove to the dormitory building where Melody lived. Sitting quietly in his car, he could not quite understand why he drove here. He just felt the sudden urge to see her.
When Melody received Lucas' call, she was completely disoriented. Her daytime schedule had been packed with filming, and it was nearly 10 p.m. when she finally returned to her dormitory to rest.
"Hello?" She answered the phone without even opening her eyes, only hearing very faint breathing on the other end.
Melody blinked, then held the phone away to check the caller ID. 'Oh, it's Lucas…'
"Why are you calling me now? Hello? Why aren't you saying anything?"
Did something happen? Suddenly, all traces of sleepiness vanished from Melody.
She sat up abruptly from her bed. "Say something! If something happened, tell me."
"It's nothing. I just want to see you."
In the pitch-black night, Lucas' words pierced Melody's heart like an arrow.
"Aren't you supposed to be with Miss Thalia?" asked Melody hoarsely.
"What does me wanting to see you have anything to do with her?"

This book is getting boring now. I loved Jeremy, Corinne, Sonny and Lucas. The story needs to end. or bring back more of Jeremy, etc....
I haven't skipped any chapter at all. Though the story is good, it keeps going back to base one. I think this has no ending at all and somehow after reading more than 2500 chapters it's kinda tiring already. They have drained all the thrills....

my heart breaks for melody, so many ups and downs, i shed a few tears when lucas walked by melody carrying thalia, and melody stayed quiet while watching them leave. i find myself getting into character as if im one. i dont remember ever feeling like that in any other books. im thankful the 10 chapters/day. waiting for the next 10...
