The Day I Kissed An Older Man novel Chapter 2518

"Then tell me, what am I jealous of you for? Jealous that you stole your sister's life? Or jealous that for all these years, you've been living as someone you're not, imitating your sister's habits just to please Lucas? You think that high and mighty life of yours is something I admire? Well, I don't, because I am who I am. I'll never be like you, someone who's lost touch with their true self."

Quinn's words struck Thalia like a bolt of lightning, causing her eyes to widen in shock. "What are you saying? Don't think you can spout nonsense just because you've had a few drinks! Don't blame me for disregarding our friendship if I hear any more of that!"

Quinn scoffed. "Do you think I want to be your friend? Your sister didn't meet a good end, and seeing that only fills me with dread. Tell me, do you think Lucas would still feel indebted for being saved by your sister back then if she knew the true cause of her death? He'd probably want to strangle you!"

Beatrice was originally coming to check on Melody and she did not expect to hear such a conversation between Thalia and Quinn.

Quinn's words left Beatrice puzzled. 'What did she mean by Thalia's sister's true cause of death? What hidden truth was there from the past? Why didn't Thalia react angrily to her words immediately but instead seemed anxious, almost as if she wanted to escape? What is she feeling guilty about?'

Beatrice held her breath, deciding to stay in that shadowy spot a bit longer, wanting to uncover the hidden secrets behind the conversation.

"You're drunk. I warn you, you better not cause a scene like last time. Now then, I have something else to do. Goodbye," said Thalia, grabbing her handbag to leave.
