The Day I Kissed An Older Man novel Chapter 2521

At that moment, a young man carrying a wine glass approached Quinn and asked her if she was alright.

With one hand still on her chest, Quinn quickly changed her expression and answered, "I'm fine. Did I startle you?"

"Not really, but you do seem uncomfortable," he replied.

The two engaged in conversation seamlessly, while Beatrice remained hidden in the blind spot, waiting for Thalia to leave before discreetly making her exit.

"Oh, Claudia, if you want to blame anyone, you should blame them, not me! But I should thank you. The Riveras wouldn't be taking care of me now if it weren't for your sacrifice. Hahahaha!" Thalia chuckled softly, sending shivers down Beatrice's spine.

Initially, Beatrice thought Thalia was merely mischievous. However, after hearing the conversation between Thalia and Quinn, she realized that she must send Thalia away as soon as possible. Otherwise, some sort of disaster would befall Lucas if Thalia kept staying by his side!

Beatrice resolved to thoroughly investigate what happened all those years ago.

Just as Thalia was about to go downstairs, Beatrice let her guard down and accidentally bumped into the door, making a 'click' sound.

Thalia immediately turned around alertly. "Who's there?"

Previously, Quinn had pulled her into this corner, and she thought it was completely hidden, so she had not thought much about it. She never imagined that there would still be someone there.

In that instant, Thalia became murderous. Her plans would be completely ruined if someone had heard their conversation. She absolutely could not let anyone ruin her plan!

"Come out if you don't want any trouble! Don't think I don't know you're sneaking around there," Thalia demanded.

Thalia hated nothing more than the condescending look in Beatrice's eyes. It made her feel like she was some worthless trash not fit for high society.

"Oh, Grandma Beatrice, let's not play any games. Tell me, how much of the conversation did you hear just now?" Thalia demanded, her tone growing more serious.

Beatrice pretended not to understand what she was talking about. "The conversation just now? What are you talking about? Are you plotting something again, like putting sleeping pills in my grandson's food? I warn you, I won't allow the same thing to happen twice."

Beatrice acted as if she had not heard anything, but there was no way Thalia would believe the cunning old woman.

"Grandma Beatrice, stop playing dumb. I know you heard everything just now. Don't you have anything to ask me?"

Thalia crossed her arms in a relaxed manner. She had all the time in the world to wear down Beatrice.
