Cedric was filled with immense regret, wondering if the tragedy could have been prevented if he had followed Beatrice upstairs. At least then he could have tried to catch her when she fell, preventing her from lying here all alone.
At that moment, he thought about many things. Earlier, when discussing matters of life and death with Lucas and Melody, he could still face them with composure. He and Beatrice had already agreed that no matter who left first, the other would follow after arranging everything. Melody stumbled and fell beside Lucas. She looked at the elderly woman in front of her, wanting to reach out but hesitating to touch her. "Grandma... wake up! What happened? You were fine just now, weren't you?"
Melody's question reminded Lucas, and he stood up with red eyes to survey the surroundings. "Did anyone see how my grandmother fell down just now? Please tell me if you did. I'll reward you handsomely for the information!"

This book is getting boring now. I loved Jeremy, Corinne, Sonny and Lucas. The story needs to end. or bring back more of Jeremy, etc....
I haven't skipped any chapter at all. Though the story is good, it keeps going back to base one. I think this has no ending at all and somehow after reading more than 2500 chapters it's kinda tiring already. They have drained all the thrills....

my heart breaks for melody, so many ups and downs, i shed a few tears when lucas walked by melody carrying thalia, and melody stayed quiet while watching them leave. i find myself getting into character as if im one. i dont remember ever feeling like that in any other books. im thankful the 10 chapters/day. waiting for the next 10...
