We approach the wooden building where the car is I still cannot believe no one is following us. “Be careful. We will only have a few seconds once we get inside to get the car and get the hell out of here. We need to go in on that side.” She points to the east side of the building.
We remain silent for the rest of the walk. I can hear rustling in the building. I thought this was going to be easy but I guess not. Something is moving in there. The side door opens and it’s Sarge. That means Labith is here.
We run for the door. “Come on” Labith screams to us. Sarge is running to me. He gets behind me and Key to protect us as we make it to the door. I look behind me and Its Daniel. Shit. The cloaking spell has worn off.
“Just go Perdition. I will find you.” Key says as she rushes towards Daniel to stop him. I make it to the door.
“Camilla is trapped and Key is trying to block Daniel so I can get out of here,” I tell Labith.
“I need you to go to Sam. We have a plan for once. Humans are strange. I will get Key and meet you at the bar. Take Sarge with you for protection.” She pushes me into a black mustang.
“Labith I do not know how to drive,” I scream out the window.
“Figure it out and get out of here.” She says as she goes after Key.
“Sarge you might want to put on your seatbelt this is going to be a bumpy ride.” I pat his head and attempt to get us out of this hell we are in. “It’s just me and you again.”
As I crank the car a hand slams down on the open window. “Let me drive.” It’s Chaos.
I jump over into the passenger seat and let him into the car. There is no need to argue with him. I need his help. Chaos takes over. Sarge is sitting in the backseat, ears back eyeballing Chaos.
“It’s okay boy. We need his help.” I tell him.
Chaos puts the car in gear and we are off. “Listen P. I know you don’t like me and that is fine, but you need to know Sam and my brother were never trying to hurt you.” He says.
“I know. But why is it everyone feels the need to baby me? Why were my memories erased? Why am I important?” I ask him.
“P. We have to get closer to the bar and I will be happy to tell you more than anyone else has bothered to tell you. I will be completely honest with you. Before you start interrogating me can we please put some miles between us and your deranged brother?” He is sincere.
“Yes. Get us the hell out of here.” I reply.
As we fly down a highway that seems almost deserted, I close my eyes. I hope Camilla Dawn survives this. Her twins. Where in the hell did she hide them? Why did Chaos decide to help us? I cannot overthink this. I will hear him out. He better be nice.
“Stop it!” Chaos says to me. “This is why your memories are blocked. You’ve always been like this. As long as I have known you, you can’t help but over-analyze everything.” He is right.
I need everything to be right in front of me, well planned and well organized. I cannot have bumps in the road.
