Noah had lived in peace for twenty years.
The musty smell of the damp room tainted Noah’s expensive suit.
Noah laughed loudly, and blood flowed out of his mouth.
It was nasty and sticky.
Noah could vaguely see the car accident from back then and smell the gasoline from the collision as well as the blood after the woman jumped off the building.
Surprisingly, it smelled the same.
“Is she dead? I’m glad she’s dead…”
Noah mumbled as he grinned.
Eric looked at him with a cold gaze and kicked him, breaking several of his ribs.
Noah clutched his chest in pain. His face turned pale, and he could not utter a word.
The pain was extreme, so his body curled up. However, the sharp pain surged.
Eric’s tone was cold. “Are you awake, Mr. Stanton?”
Noah coughed up a mouthful of blood.
He laughed intermittently.
“She’s not dead, huh? What a pity…”
Eric saw that Noah was delirious. His eyes darkened.
“Watch him. There’s no need to call a doctor. It doesn’t matter if he dies.”
“Yes, sir.”
There was anger in Eric’s eyes.
The next day, Grant asked someone to deliver a package of things to Ferguson Corporation early in the morning.
When Eric went into the office, Mitchell handed it over.
Eric opened it and had a look.
It was the evidence of Noah’s tax evasion in the company over the years, as well as evidence of Noah’s illegally obtained funds and projects.
This evidence was enough to imprison Noah for 20 years.
However, the Stantons did not give it to the police but to Eric.
That was because Noah was in Eric’s hands.
Once the evidence was handed over to the police, the police would definitely start to look for and arrest Noah. In that case, Eric would be in a passive situation.
However, if they handed the evidence to Eric, Eric would have the final say in what would become of Noah.
It was impossible for Noah to get away with his crimes again.
This was the Stanton family’s stance.
Eric took a look at it and asked Mitchell to put it away.
He did not want to let Noah go so soon.
However, he still had to respect the Stanton family.
As long as the Stanton family did not intervene, Eric would not implicate others.
At noon, Eric was worried about Selena, so he called home.
The servant answered the phone.
“How is Madam feeling today?”
Before the servant could speak, Selena picked up the phone.
“Mrs. Ferguson is fine today. She’s in a good mood. Don’t worry and make more money, okay?”
Eric was taken aback. He smiled with his eyes.
Judging by her tone, Eric knew that Selena regained her spirits.
“You’re in a good mood? There’s a bank card in the bedroom drawer. You can go shopping if you want. Someone has to spend the money I earn!”
Selena laughed. “Of course. Chance is on vacation today, so I’ll take him shopping. He can help to carry my bags!”
“How much can that little boy carry? Why don’t I help you?”
Eric was also in a good mood.
Selena said, “You don’t have to come. Every minute that you work is just an extra bag for me! Don’t waste it.”
Eric replied, “You really know how to enjoy yourself!”
The two talked for a while, and Selena thought of something.
“Eric, don’t kill him. It’s not because I don’t want him to die. I just don’t want to get his dirty blood on your hands.”

The readers' comments on the novel: The Divorced Billionaire Heiress
I liked this book and wanted to read it. As I have moved into the chapters, I have found that it is unreadable due to typographical errors, including sentences that are incomplete, complete gibberish, missing elements. This is not just some misspelled words. It is actually unreadable. If you decide to fix this, let me know and I will read it....
