Chapter 145
Chapter 145
But at this moment, Dean was only concerned about whether he could make Olivia admit that he was her father and whether he could become Mrs. Kinsman’s rightful father. He did not notice that Olivia’s wound had split open after he grabbed her.
Even after Olivia cried out in pain, he continued to chatter on.
“Olivia, you can’t be that heartless. You are my daughter, and you are a member of the Clarke family. You can’t just watch the Clarke family being destroyed like this, can you?
“I remember that in the past you used to be so obedient. How did you become so disrespectful toward your family now? I raised you in vain!
“Did you hear what I said?” Dean held Olivia’s injured arm and kept tugging at it. Olivia gasped in pain.
“Let go of me, or I wouldn’t hold back!” Olivia endured the pain and shouted angrily.
“Wouldn’t hold back? Well, now that you’re all grown up and think that Mr. Kinsman can protect you, you do not even respect your father? Bi tch, I think you’ve lost your conscience!”
When he saw how Olivia behaved, Dean was about to go mad with anger. He raised his hand and was about to hit her. However, he didn’t expect that his arm would be grabbed by someone as soon as he raised it.
“Mr. Clarke, I don’t know what mistakes my wife had made. Why did you come to our home to hit her?” William’s angry voice sounded and this made Dean chicken out instantly.
“Oh, Mr. Kinsman… You’re here. I’m chatting with my daughter. It’s nothing…” Dean explained with an ingratiating smile.
With his arm in William’s tight grip, Dean’s arm had gone numb and he was in pain, but he did not dare to try and pull it away. He could only endure it silently, which was why his smile seemed so strained.
“If it’s just a chat, it is weird for you to hurt my wife’s arm in that manner, Mr. Clarke!”
William held Olivia’s arm carefully in his hand, and his eyes were full of love.
It was only then that Dean realized that Olivia’s arm that was bandaged in gauze was now soaked in blood!
He felt extremely guilty and blurted out, “You silly girl, why didn’t you tell me earlier that you were injured? Now that you made me seem like the baddie who had hurt you, what would Mr. Kinsman think of me?”
This was what Dean was like. Whenever he encountered a problem, he would always push the blame onto others and act as if he had done nothing wrong.
Olivia looked at him and couldn’t help sneering.
Fortunately, Dean had announced that he had broken off all ties with her five years ago. Otherwise, she would have been truly heartbroken at the thought of still being related to such a father.
She opened her mouth and wanted to say something, but suddenly felt a little powerless.
She had once thought that when she faced Dean again with her real identity, she might be angry, quarrel with him, or even grow soft-hearted towards him. However, she had never expected that she would not even want to say a word to him.
It was as if she knew that she couldn’t change a thing, so she couldn’t be bothered to waste her breath to talk to him. Standing next to Olivia, William seemed to have sensed her sudden bad mood. He reached out and pulled her into his arms boldly.
Olivia did not push him away angrily. Instead, she leaned back against his chest as she waited for the pain in her wrist to slowly dissipate on its own.
William patted Olivia’s head comfortingly as she leaned in his arms and beckoned to Marshall.
Marshall came forward immediately.
“Mr. Clarke has hurt Olivia. Make sure Mr. Clarke suffers the same injury as Olivia’s.”
“Yes, Mr. Kinsman!” Marshall was shocked when he saw the blood on Olivia’s arm. He understood immediately that William was trying to take revenge for Olivia.
So, he gestured for the bodyguards to come forward immediately and grabbed Dean’s arms.
“What? Mr. Kinsman, it’s all a misunderstanding. Olivia is my daughter. How could I hurt her? She must have been injured already. I was careless and was tricked by her!”
Dean shouted out at the top of his lungs. When, Marshall, who was next to him, heard this, he couldn’t help rolling his

eyes.
What kind of person was this? Not only did he hurt his daughter, but he was also trying to shift the blame.
“What are you waiting for? Didn’t you hear what Mr. Kinsman said? Mr. Clarke has hurt Mrs. Kinsman, who is Mr. Kinsman’s beloved. Why aren’t you taking him away?”
Marshall led his men to drag Dean out and raised his voice deliberately to explain to everyone. In fact, he also wanted Dean to understand how important Olivia was to William.
Nothing good would come out of hurting Olivia!
Dean continued to try and explain, but he was dragged further and further away. It was not until he let out two screams that his voice finally stopped.
Marshall ran back to report, “I’m sorry, Mr. Kinsman. The bodyguards couldn’t tell left from right and injured both of Mr. Clarke’s arms.”
“Well, everyone should learn more from this. Make sure it doesn’t happen again.” William said hypocritically and calmly. When he saw how William was very satisfied with the current result, Marshall decided to treat the two smart bodyguards to dinner at night.
After Dean was driven away, the villa finally quieted down.
“Thank you! But why are you here? Didn’t you say that you had work to do?”
Olivia thanked William lazily. Looking at her bloodied arm, she wanted to find a first-aid kit to deal with it. However, as soon as she turned to leave William’s arms, she was carried by him.
“I’m done with my work, so I came to pick you up. I didn’t expect to encounter this farce. Don’t move. Be careful not to hurt your wound.”
“I can walk on my own… Olivia was confused as it was her wrist that was injured, not her leg.
Wasn’t this too much to be carried around like this?
While Olivia was complaining in her heart, William had already carried her to the sofa in the living room. He put her down on the sofa carefully and covered her with a blanket. Then, he went to the cabinet to get the first aid kit.
“Come, I’ll help you remove the blood-stained gauze first. Jameson is already on his way. He’ll be here soon.” “What? In fact, there’s no need to go through so much trouble. Just call Reed over. He lives closer.”
“You used the medicine from the lab before for the wrist. Let Jameson take a look at it. It’ll help you recover faster.” “All right then.” It was rare for Olivia to be so obedient and not go against William.
After all, William was right. The medicine from Jameson’s laboratory had indeed aided the recovery of her wrist. The reason why her injury healed so quickly was mostly because of the special medicine developed by Jameson.
It was a magical medicine that could not only relieve the side effects of the nano-bandage but also helped the wound heal quicker.
When she thought of this, the scene of Reed holding on to her thigh and crying for a chance to work with Jameson popped up in her mind.
So, she texted Reed secretly.
“Reed, come to Maple Villas quickly and bring your antique vase!”
