With just one word, Ranita felt her blood run cold, and her heart seemed to lose the warmth that had been sustaining its beats, turning into a frozen stone.
The woman extended her hand with her fingers half-raised in the air, but then hesitantly withdrew it after a few shakes.
Did Brendon mistake her for Shannon? Her eyes turned red, and her heart was crushed into pieces inch by inch.
The man's long breath was still in her ear, and his lips left a string of hot marks behind her ear. Ranita pushed Brendon hard and ran out.
The cool night breeze carried a chill.
Ranita stood in the backyard of the villa, leaning against the cold wall. She stood until her legs went numb and it wasn't until the sky turned bright that she snapped out of her trance.
She straightened her clothes, grabbed the car keys at the entrance and drove away.
Ranita's thoughts were in disarray, and it wasn't until she snapped out of it that she realized she had driven her car to the studio. As soon as she got out of the car, a furious shout came from above, "Ranita!"
Ranita looked up and saw a black glittering whirlwind blowing towards her. Before she could even see who it was, the person gave her a hard slap.
With a loud "pop!", the passing people were stunned.
