Kylie urgently asked, "What will it take for you to let him go? I'll agree to anything!"
If this went on any longer, Owen might die in Samuel's hands.
The Vance family had deep ties to both the political and business worlds, so they had influence in both legal and underground circles too. If Samuel wanted someone dead, it would be as effortless as crushing an ant.
His expression was dark and cold as he pressed against Owen's face with his leather shoe. His gaze shifted to Kylie, locking onto her in silence.
After a few seconds of thought, she said, "I know you don't want to marry me. How about this—you let him go, and I'll continue treating Mr. Vance Senior, but I won't force you into this marriage anymore.
"Don't worry, I'll do everything I can to cure him."
"Do you get to decide when it starts and when it ends?" Samuel let out a cold laugh. "Do you think the world works that way? Do you think I work that way?"
Kylie took a deep breath, fear tightening in her chest
"You'll do anything for him, huh?" Samuel's handsome face remained emotionless save for a tinge of mockery.
"Yes." Kylie nodded.
It was enough for her to be trapped in this abyss—she couldn't drag Owen down with her.
But the moment she answered Samuel, his face darkened even further.
"What do you want me to do for you to let him go?" she asked again.
"Strip."
That single word rang in her ears, and she froze in disbelief. "What did you say?"
"Didn't you catch that?" Samuel's voice remained icy. "I only believe what I see. If you claim that nothing happened between you two, then prove it."
Kylie stood rooted to the spot.
"We didn't do anything. How do you expect us to prove it?" Owen's eyes burned red with anger. "What kind of man humiliates a woman? If you have a problem, take it out on me!"
