However, since he was just trying to lure Leon into retaliating, he did not put much force into his first attack and did not even employ his secret weapon. Instead, he unleashed a few more attacks in Leon's way, intending to provoke Leon and make him reveal the true extent of his capabilities.

"Take this!" Leon scoffed as he stepped forward, unleashing a few attacks of retaliation that easily took Rodney on!

Now that he already attained the Initial Golden Core Phase in his sage arts training, this made him on par with the Intermediate Emperor State, and combined with the Mirror of Sovereign, he was able to establish a defense against attacks of even the Semi-Almighty State!

In conclusion, with his power and defense, he could have easily defeated Rodney right then and there, but that was not his intention at all!

Rodney cheated during his duel against Roanne with his secret weapon, and both he and the Southern Boss managed to pin all the blame onto Cynthion Group. Since Cynthion Group was yet to find a way to prove their innocence, Leon was determined to find a way to trick Rodney into revealing his secret weapon so that he could expose him in front of everyone!
