Although Madison was referring to netizens, Rebecca felt as if she was indirectly referring to her. 

She slowly released her grip on Madison’s hand.

“Becky, don’t worry about her. A person like her won’t appreciate your kindness no matter how much you care for her.” 

Jason pulled Rebecca back, looking at Madison. “Madison, you’re the one who refuses to stop livestreaming, so if you get cyberbullied in the future, don’t blame us for not helping you.” 

Harvey glanced at the people across from him, their faces full of anger and frustration as they stared at Madison.

Jason replied, looking confused, “Harvey, what else is there to discuss? Didn’t Becky just say it was her friends who posted them earlier?” Harvey sneered, “Do you know about this, Mom and Dad? This party was supposed to be media–free, so why did Rebecca agree to let her friends record and post about it?” 

Tanya looked at Rebecca. 

Rebecca explained, “Harvey, I was actually doing it for Maddie’s sake. Everyone in the circle knows I’m a heiress of the Locke family, but they don’t know that Maddie is too. If Mom and Dad didn’t want the media involved, it wouldn’t make much of a difference for Maddie! 

“I thought that if people in the entertainment industry posted these videos and photos, the spread would definitely be wide enough. Everyone would know that Maddie and I are sisters and that she’s also a heiress of the Locke family.” 

As she spoke, her eyes reddened again, and tears began to fall. 

“I had good intentions. How was I supposed to know so many bad things would happen afterward?” 

Harvey watched them comfort the sobbing Rebecca again, feeling utterly exhausted. “Then why didn’t you stop them from posting the videos and photos after everything happened?” 

“Harvey, I was so scared at that moment! I completely forgot! It’s all my fault. I shouldn’t have forgotten,” Rebecca looked at Tanya and the others. “Mom, Dad, Ethan, Jason, it’s all my fault. I… I should’ve stopped them from filming. 

“If I hadn’t been so scared, I would’ve stopped them from posting the videos and photos.
