Chapter 361
Madison hummed in acknowledgment, holding the serviment–sealing glass vial as she followed Sebastian out of the study.
Outside in the hallway, Wanda and Yara were whispering to each other. Hearing the door open, they both tumed their heads in unison
Vaca’s gaze immediately landed on the sentiment–sealing glass vial in Madison’s hand, her brows lifting with an amused, knowing smile.
Wanda, still out of the loop, asked, “Ms. Locke, do you need me to handle anything?
Madison shook her head. For some reason, her mind felt slow, like it was lagging behind her body.
Sebastian glanced back at her. “Is my astral body still stable?”
Madisonchecked briefly and nodded. “Yes”
Sebastian’s lips curled into a faint smile, the glimmer in his eyes becoming more pronounced. “I’m returning to Deatropolis tomorrow. Contact me if you need anything”
Madisonmplied, “Okay”
As Sebastian descended the stairs, Madison watched his retreating figure for a moment before calling out, “Sebastian!”
Sebastian paused on the steps, tuming to look at her.
“Has the sentiment–sealing glass vial stopped affecting you?” she asked, her voice steady but filled with curiosity
Sebastian didn’t answer immediately. Instead, he let out a soft laugh. With that laugh, his entire demeanor shifted.
“Madison, aren’t you confident in your own cultivation?” he replied, his tone teasing but warm.
Madison didn’t respond and just stared at him, falling deep in thought.
She wanted to press further, but before she could, Sebastian had already turned back around and descended the remaining steps. Though his footsteps sounded the same, something about his pace felt lighter, almost carefree. Anyone watching could see he was in a good mood.

Yaca floated over to Madison’s side, her eyes fixed on the sentiment–sealing glass vial in Madison’s hand. “So, the vial’s been undone?”
“Yeah,” Madison replied.
“Sebastian asked for it to be undone himself? Yara asked, her curiosity piqued.
“Yeah” Madison confirmed with a nod
Yara stroked her chin, mulling it over. “He used to talk as though sealing his emotions in there was a matter of life and death, like it’d be a cement wall around his heart that would cut off all feelings. And now..” Yara paused and fell silent.
Her eyes drifted to Raymond, who was sitting on the couch downstairs and staring blankly a
y at the TV. Vara’s next words caught in her throat, the realization settling
The vial wasn’t the real issue,” Yara remarked, a lowing grin spreading across her face.
“No wonder he wanted the vial undone. T
Wanda was puzzled.
Madison turned her attention to Yara as well. “Sebastian undoing the sentiment- fing glass vial…is not the main point?”
“reat! The real point was to send a message,” Yara declased, betone full of mischief.
Wanda blinked in confusion, glancing at Madison
Madisonstared down at the vial in her hand.
“Men.” Yara sighed dramatically, floating down the stairs with a shake of her head. “When they play mind games, it’s terrifying. He did it to remind someone that his feelings are still there.”
Wandestifled a giggle before heading downstairs aswell.
Madison remained in the hallway, her gaze locked on the vial in herhand. She lowered her eyes, making the emotions sing beneath
