The Fortune-Telling Heiress novel Chapter 393

Sebastian stood behind the door, enveloped in steam.

He wore a white bathrobe with a white towel draped over his head. Droplets of water from his black hair rolled off one by one. Some landed on his bathrobe while others fell from the tips of his hair, trickling down to his neck and disappearing into the slightly open robe.

"Come in." He stepped aside, and after a brief hesitation, Madison walked inside.

The door slammed shut behind her.

Sebastian dried his hair while he walked further inside. "Would you like something to drink?"

"No, I came here to apologize."

Sebastian paused and pulled the towel on his head away. His damp black hair obscured his vision slightly. "Apologize?"

"You were worried about me, so I shouldn't blame you for being angry."

Throughout her life, she had always made her own decisions. Whether it was a big matter or small, she needed to decide for herself. This included her death.

She didn't understand why Sebastian was angry. She was fine and had even captured the Ghost King, Avery. As long as they interrogated Avery, they would find a way to break the divine talismans, which would also benefit Sebastian.

But he was still very upset, and Madison was confused.

But Wanda was right. Sebastian was worried about her, and she shouldn't have spoken coldly.

So, she came to apologize.

Sebastian walked over and placed a crystal glass beside her. "Do you know why I'm angry?"

Madison nodded. "I don't take care of my body and life, which makes you worry."

"You got half of it right."

He leaned forward, placing his hands on either side of the couch. He towered over her in a possessive manner, trapping her within his embrace.

Madison interrupted, "It was to deceive Avery. Only by doing so could Logan and the others enter Ghost Town with Avery's consent."

"But I'm still angry," he said, his voice tinged with frustration. "I know I shouldn't be, yet here I am. I'm angry at you, but I'm also angry at myself."

After saying this, he released her wrists and sat on the other side of the couch. He covered his eyes and muttered, "Madison, I know I shouldn't feel this way, and I know I don't have the right. But I'm still angry."

He bit his lip in frustration. "If I could cultivate, would I be able to accompany you inside?"

Madison stared at Sebastian for a moment. "Your talent is lacking."

Sebastian abruptly moved his arm away and looked at Madison, his eyes wide with disbelief. At the seriousness of her gaze, he couldn't help but laugh, and the tension around him vanished instantly.

Madison was dumbfounded.

She finally understood why Sebastian was angry, but why was he smiling so happily now?
