Meredith and Leo went to a coffee shop. Since she was worried that something might happen, she chose a very noticeable place to sit.
When dealing with people like Leo, she had to be very careful.
"The child in your womb is Derek's?"
Leo looked at Meredith who was drinking milk and felt inexplicably uncomfortable.
He didn't expect that the woman who used to follow him like a shadow had been pregnant with another man's baby.
"... " Meredith's expression changed slightly. Although it was true, it was absolutely impossible for her to admit it.
"No." She put down the thing in her hand gently.
"No?" Leo's eyes widened. He had thought that Meredith must have been pregnant when she was Derek's lover, but now she said that the child was not Derek's.
Was she seeing several men at the same time?
"If it's not his, then whose is it? Meredith, how many men have you been with since you got out of prison?"
Meredith resisted the urge to splash the boiling water in her hand on Leo's face. "I don't think I have to tell you about it."
"Why not? You've been fooling around and now you are pregnant. Why don't you abort the child?"
Leo looked at Meredith's lower abdomen. It was still relatively flat. It was hard to tell that she was pregnant. However, it made him feel bad.
Sure enough, it was better for her to abort the child as soon as possible.
Meredith laughed coldly. If it weren't for the sake of eliciting information from him, she really didn't want to talk to this self-righteous idiot at all.
"This is my child. It has nothing to do with anyone. I'm not here to ask you to teach me how to treat my child. Just tell me the things you know about the Masons. Just help me."
Meredith was not in the mood to argue with him. He was a playboy that was fooling around. How could he be so thick-skinned to ask her to keep herself chastity?
Leo saw that her expression had changed and thought about it. The important thing now was to get her. He didn't want to marry Meredith anyway. He just wanted a fling. Maybe it would be exciting. Therefore, he stopped talking nonsense.
"Do you think the Masons won't tell me if I want to know about these things?"
Leo didn't care about those things in the past. He was completely indifferent to everything about Meredith. He only knew some general information.
But if he really wanted to know, it would not be that difficult.
"It's not like you don't know what's going on with Ava. The movie failed, and she didn't make any money at all. Because of what happened last time, her image got ruined. Besides, there was someone who tricked her on purpose, so she almost became a has-been star. She is texting me every day, begging to get back together with me."
Speaking of this, Leo had a smug look on his face.
Hearing this, Meredith didn't feel that annoyed anymore. She was in a much better mood.
Ava was unlucky. It was good news for her.
"So?"
"As long as I tell her I want to get back together, will she not tell me what I want to know?"
Leo glanced at Meredith. "As for whether I will ask or not, it depends on your ability to impress me."
