Thinking of this, Derek's cold face softened a lot.
He looked at the small bedroom. Obviously, the owner hadn't started cleaning up the room yet, and the stuff was just piled aside in a mess.
Seeing that cosmetics and some small stuff piled together, Derek felt the style of a young girl's life.
As he looked, the man saw a few books by the side and was about to go and see what they were. Meredith suddenly recollected something and hurried out of the kitchen.
She just recollected that she had a few books for pregnant women in her bedroom. She had just forgotten that Derek was there. It would be troublesome if he found out.
"Have you seen enough? If you have enough, go out." Meredith walked into the bedroom and saw that he was about to look at what was on her bedside. See this, her heart thumped. She hurried over and pulled up the quilt, hiding a few books under her pillow.
"Is there any unpresentable stuff?" Derek saw that she had ordered him to leave, but he was not moved at all.
"Heh, my underwear. Do you want to see? I can't tell that you have such an abnormal taste." Meredith answered indifferently, without a trace of guilt.
"I have already seen them." Derek looked at her and suddenly leaned over. "I've seen every part of your body, right?"
Derek's hot breath blew on her ear deliberately, with a strange tingling sensation in the warmth. Her ears were her sensitive areas.
Meredith shrank her neck, and her face blushed. They got divorced. What had happened was a dream to her, but what did this man always mention that?
"But we have no relationship with each other now." Meredith thought, pushing the man's chest and driving him out of the bedroom.
Then she quickly locked the door. It would be bad if he saw something he shouldn't have seen.
"I have to eat now, and take a shower later. I don't have time to entertain you. I'd better ask you to leave."
Meredith took a look at what she was cooking. Thanks to that she had learned a few home-cooked dishes from the chef in the Xaviers, or else she would starve to death now.
"Is that how you entertain guests?"
Derek looked at her. It was rare for him to come here, so he wouldn't leave so easily. Besides, he thought maybe that man hadn't come back yet.
He would never leave before he confirmed that.
So you even want to have dinner at my house?" Meredith said impatiently.
The food she cooked was only edible, but it was definitely not delicious. Derek must be crazy, because he left the food made by the chef in the five-star hotel at home, and came here to torment her.
"It sounds good."
Derek glanced at the misty kitchen. The faint aroma of food wafted in, bringing the hot water vapor, giving off a feeling of warmth and home that he had not been seen for a long time.
This feeling, in fact, was very fresh to him. Derek could only see exquisite food be served in front of his eyes. He didn't need to know how they were made, he just needed to enjoy them.
Now that he saw this scene, it was... Interesting.
In particular, seeing that Meredith cooked busily in the kitchen in an apron, he felt special.
He had received the lunchboxes from the noble and elegant ladies, but every time he looked at the delicate but somewhat hypocritical dishes, he had no appetite.
Those dishes were nothing more than props to show off their gentleness and virtue. In fact, Meredith's plain home cooking was better than those.
At least, she would not seem hypocritical.
Seeing that Derek really didn't seem to have any intention of leaving, Meredith didn't want to waste time on him anymore. She couldn't starve herself and her baby. Since he wanted to stay, she made him some terrible food to see how he reacted.
