Summon Of The Sword novel Chapter 1757

Aria observed Sean's room and the chess board on the table before she smiled.

"Commander Lennon, you're enjoying yourself. You're under house arrest but in the mood to play chess with your subordinate. Is this considered finding pleasure in misery?"

"Misery?" Sean shook his head and said calmly, "How is this misery? I have food to eat, water to drink, clothes to wear, no need to suffer from the cold, and I don't need to worry about the danger that might come at any moment. How is this misery? Ms. Aria, you seem to have never experienced real suffering to say such a thing."

Aria instantly froze when Sean said this.

She had only spoken casually and did not expect Sean to answer her so seriously.

She opened her mouth and was about to retort when Sean said, "Ms. Aria, Lowich's injuries should be stable now, right? I stabbed him. I know how severe his injuries are, so don't try to lie to me."

Aria suddenly felt the man had taken away her initiative.

No wonder he was the commander-in-chief of Dorodo's city defense army. He was young but experienced and clever.

However, so what?

"Commander Lennon, since you didn't beat around the bush, I won't keep secrets. As you can see, I am now free to move around, but my sister, Lisha is still imprisoned in her room. I think I don't need to tell you what this means. So, what are you going to do? Are you still on my sister's side?" Aria asked with a sneer.

Sean shook his head slowly and said seriously, "I've never been on your or your sister's side. It's just that you've been treating me like the enemy..."

"Reflect on it yourself. From the time we first met, you've been the one who's been looking for trouble with me. You've been the one who's been creating the conflict, haven't you? When did I make the first move?"

Sean's remark instantly left Aria speechless. It was because Sean was speaking the truth.

"I have never intended to help your sister, but you've thought of me and your sister as enemies and pushed us over the edge. You've driven me to her side. Ms. Aria, do you regret it?"
