Halsey shot the man a cold look. “Get lost!”

She was about to walk away when another drunken rich guy jumped out.

“I’ll offer three million if you dance for me!”

Halsey sneered, “I’ll give you five million to disappear from my sight immediately.”

She was an heiress herself; she wasn’t short of cash.

Without waiting, Halsey turned and started walking.

“Wait, don’t go!” One of the rich kids reached out to grab her.

Halsey dodged just in time, but twisted her ankle and lost her balance, staggering forward.

“Ah!”

She gasped, instinctively putting her hands over her belly.

But the pain she feared didn’t come-because she had fallen into a warm, broad chest, held firmly in strong arms. As she looked up, Shaun’s handsome, noble face filled her view.

Halsey blinked, surprised. “What are you doing here?”

Shaun held her gently at the waist. “You should be thankful I came, or else…”

He looked up sharply, his cold, piercing gaze locking onto the two drunk rich guys.

“Hey, who do you think you are? Get in line. We found her first-you gotta wait your turn!”

Neither of the two recognized Shaun.

Still holding Halsey tightly, Shaun’s indifferent eyes swept over them. “Who do you think you are? You really think my woman’s something you can just fantasize about?”

Halsey froze. He actually said she was his woman.

Her heart skipped a beat.
