The Heiress Nobody Saw Coming (Natalie and Marcus) novel Chapter 652

Sheldon waved his hand, signaling his men to leave. "Leave now. I need some time alone."

"Sheldon—" one of his men started to speak.

"Listen to me," Sheldon interrupted, cutting him off. "I know you're loyal, and I know you won't betray me. But whatever the reason, helping me keep things from Mr. Marcus was wrong.

"As for Cassie, the fewer people who know about her situation, the better. From now on, none of you can return to Holden Residence. You'll go abroad and live well, just as I've arranged. The money I've set aside for you will be more than enough for a good life. Now, go. Lower the lifeboat, and get off the open sea."

With that, Sheldon waved them off firmly.

Once they were all gone, Sheldon turned and walked into the next room.

Vigrax was incredibly potent, painful, and contagious, so Sheldon wouldn't be stepping back into that previous room.

The room next door also had a large screen that was split in two. One half showed Marcus and Natalie's wedding, while the other displayed Cassie in her room.

Cassie was vomiting blood, and tiny worms crawled from the blood on the floor, quickly re-entering her body. Just like that, a new wave of pain began.

After enduring endless suffering, Cassie collapsed on the floor.

Blood tears fell from her eyes. Her lips moved, but her words were unclear.

Sheldon pressed a button on his iPad, and Cassie's muffled voice became clear.

She whispered, "Dad, I was wrong. I'm sorry, Dad, I regret it."

Hearing her regret, Sheldon's eyes reddened slightly. However, there was no point regretting her actions now. Charles was gone.

He had left the world, never getting to see his beloved grandson marry and have children.

The blame for everything rested with the Jenkins family.

If Yvette hadn't appeared, Charles would have at least lived a full life, though Vivian had deceived him.

Even if it was poison wrapped in sugar, Charles would never have been harmed as long as he didn't know the truth.

Yet, everything was gone.

"Dad, I was wrong. I'm sorry," Cassie continued, sobbing uncontrollably. "I really regret it. I shouldn't have fallen in love with my own brother. I shouldn't have gone against Laura. I shouldn't have trusted Yvette. Dad, if I come to you now, will you still accept me as your daughter? Dad, I miss you. I really miss you."

She cried out, "Dad, I want you back. I know I was wrong, but what do I do now? I'm dying. I'm coming to see you. I may not be your biological daughter, but you raised me. You loved me. When I come to see you, please don't deny me as your daughter…"
