The Invincible Arthur Gardner novel Chapter 11

"Honey, I'm so in love with this car. It's such a beautiful shade of blue - I really want one!" Linda affectionately grasped Marco's arm, their love for one another on full display for the onlookers.

"Sir," the salesperson began, "this car is incredibly rare. Only ten were made worldwide, and this is the only one in this city. Whoever owns it is sure to feel incredibly special. If you were to buy it for your partner, they would be truly grateful."

"Of course I'll buy this car," Marco said, glaring at the salesman who stood near him. "Now, you can go. I'll call you if I need anything."

He gave the salesman a swift kick in the leg, causing the man to bow and hastily retreat.

"What a waste of time," Marco muttered. "I don't like it when I'm in the process of buying a car and other people are just hanging around me!"

"Darling, you know," Marco began gently, "this car isn't quite right for you. The color is much more suitable for a man. Why don't we try to find something a bit more affordable?"

Linda protested, "But Marco, you promised you would buy me a car!"

Sighing, Marco replied, "I know, sweetheart, but I think it would be better if we found something a bit more budget-friendly. Don't you agree?"

Linda's voice was full of hurt as she said, "But I don't understand why you're backing out."

"No! Marco, this is not how it should be. I gave you my virginity and you promised me something. It's clear to me that this is all just a game to you. But I know you have to keep your word."

"Yes, but I can just find someone else who is willing to be with me for a lower cost. Besides, I'm not even sure if you're still a virgin. I have been generous enough to offer you the chance to pick a car, but not this one. You don't deserve it."

Linda grasped Marco's arm, drawing him near. She embraced him, allowing him to feel her body against his. She was aware of her beauty and was the envy of many men. Marco would be lucky to find another girl as stunning as her.

Linda was sure she'd be able to captivate him with her beauty. "I'm sure I will be able to conquer the man with the beauty that I have," she thought.

"I'm sorry, Marco," she began, her voice softening. "My accusations were out of line. I still believe you to be a responsible man and I want us to keep trusting one another. You have to fulfill your promise and buy me that car; what I have given you is also very valuable."

"Don't you know how much this costs? Fifty f*cking million dollars. With that kind of money, I could get fifty women as beautiful as you. So, Linda, if you still want to be with me, please show some respect for my money. I'm not broke, but it's too expensive for you. How can you convince me that you're still a virgin? I didn't feel any difference when I was sleeping with you, Linda. It was just the same as with all the other girls I've been with." He asked, his voice full of doubt.
