The Invincible Arthur Gardner novel Chapter 17

"No, I never agreed to this, Mr. Leo," Claudina said as she attempted to voice her discontent. However, she was powerless as four burly men surrounded her.

"Let me go!" she exclaimed, her face pale with fear. "I would never consent to this; I never intended to sell myself. You can't do this to me, this time you really forced me into something I didn't want," she added, shaking her head in disbelief.

But Leo appeared proud and excited for the night ahead. After all, if someone was willing to spend a billion dollars on a useless item, how much would they be willing to spend to enjoy Claudina's body?

Leo was accustomed to dealing with women like Claudina, who pretended to value their virtue when entering the entertainment world. However, he was well aware that it was all a facade; all the girls he had known had caved into money in the end. There was nothing in the world that could resist the money.

What was more, Claudina was doing this tonight to raise a large sum of money to save those foolish orphans. Leo was positive that Claudina would be grateful in the end, as such an opportunity was rare and could only happen once.

After the event, they would both become wealthy and ascend to higher social status. He figured that accompanying someone to sleep for a night was nothing significant, right?

Leo walked up to Claudina and smiled softly at her, noticing the girl's sadness and quietly holding back the anger on her face.

"Claudina, please just give in. You can make up to 10 billion or more. All you need to do is stay overnight with someone. Isn't that a great offer?"

Claudina shook her head vigorously. "I never agreed to this, Mr. Leo. Please, please reconsider what you are asking me to do."

Claudina was really stuck right now. She was helpless and had no control. She was alone, while everyone around her seemed to be pushing her to do something she didn't want to do.

Virginity? Is it really so important? Maybe for others, it's just something casual. But not for Claudina. She was a girl who had grown up in an orphanage, someone who had been deprived of affection. She had learned so much that if someone eventually found her and managed to give her the love she desired and dreamed of, she was willing to give him anything, including her virginity which may not seem so important. Still, at least she could offer her purity to the man who would eventually win her heart.

"Claudina, you really have to understand that money is akin to love. What do you think love really is? Do you think someone would pay 10 billion dollars without thinking it through? Of course not, they do it with love, they try to express their love for you. And so, I thought tonight you would find your true love. Someone who would pay the most to be with you. That's why it's called 'making love', right? Do you understand what I'm saying?"

Leo said, his face and smile full of reassurance. "Trust me, when this is all over, you'll thank me for giving you this opportunity. Do you understand?"

Harry Black quickly assessed the situation and realized that, with his intelligence, he would surely prevail. He wanted nothing more than to win the night, as well as Claudina's body and heart.

However, his opponent, Aston Scott, was proving to be a formidable adversary, as he seemed willing to spend a large amount of money to win the girl.

Realizing that money wouldn't be the deciding factor, Harry thought to himself, "If I can't impress her with my wealth, I'll just have to do it with my wit. After all, I'm the most well-spoken person I know." With a confident smirk, Harry announced, "I'm ready. Let's see who will come out on top."
