"Mr. Glitzy, would you be so kind as to outbid me?" Harry turned to Arthur and, with a tremulous voice, asked, His tone was tinged with hope.
Harry was overwhelmed by fear, his body trembling, and his face became pale as he tried to hide his anxiety. Although he was wealthy, he had no intention of squandering money on this particular situation.
"Can you believe it? Harry actually begged Mr. Glitzy for something."
"It's so embarrassing - turns out his big talk was all just a show."
Aston smiled with contentment, rising from his chair. He clapped his hands gently, the sound reverberating around the room and immediately garnering the attention of everyone present.
He knew that he was the only one who deserved to be the winner, and sure enough, one of his opponents had already surrendered before he even had to make a move. As usual, he had easily gotten what he wanted. This time was no exception.
"What a loser you are, Harry!" he declared. He then approached Harry and Arthur. "You two are just two naive fools playing with money. You should know who the real wealthy people are in this place."
"I don't really care anymore!" shouted Harry, his voice rising with panic.
He then dropped to his knees in front of Arthur. "Mr. Glitzy, please outbid me, so I can get out of this auction and never bother you again. I have been successful in becoming a big CEO at a young age, but I don't have the money to be spending like this. Please, have mercy on me, Mr. Glitzy."
"Alright, Mr. Harry..." Leo spoke from the stage again, trying to appear calm despite the excitement bubbling up in his heart. "We don't have much time. I will conclude this auction and you will soon be the winner. Please pay the money you have bid immediately."
Leo attempted to remain composed, but in reality, his heart was bursting with joy. "Wow! I'm going to be the wealthiest person in town," he thought, and he felt his life was about to become much brighter.
He had a hunch that Claudina would be thankful for the huge opportunity he had created for her, and perhaps afterward, she would fall in love with him.
Leo couldn't help but let his imagination run wild - even if Claudina's virginity was taken by someone else, he would still be satisfied as long as he could win her heart. Leo knew that if he could win her heart, he would be able to live in luxury. If he ran out of money later, he could always resell her and have her accompany a man to bed for the night, thus restoring his reputation in town.
"Come on, Harry," Aston said with a sneer, clapping his hands lightly beside him. "You don't want your name to be ruined overnight, do you? Is the young CEO really this cowardly?"
Harry, with his forehead firmly pressed against the floor, remained silent. He still had the option of making a comeback, but if he continued to be reckless with his money, it would be difficult for him to do so. Thus, he knew that surrendering was not an act of cowardice.
