The Invincible Arthur Gardner novel Chapter 20

"Twenty billion dollars!" Arthur exclaimed, confidently raising his arm as he spoke. His voice was full of assurance, and he had a slight smile on his face, evidently pleased with his bold decision. It was clear that he was not going to back down from the challenge.

Twenty billion dollars was the price Arthur offered in order to purchase Claudina's virginity, the Snow White Princess. Everyone was tempted by the prizes they could obtain through this auction; however, the sheer amount of money was simply outrageous! It was unthinkable to be thrown out, even for something like this.

"This is insane, am I hearing this correctly? Twenty billion dollars? That's just unbelievable!"

"I can't believe someone would be willing to pay that kind of money for Ms. Claudina's virginity. It's absolutely outrageous. He must have gone mad!"

Moreover, Arthur strongly believed that one's virginity should not be treated as a commodity. He felt that it should be cherished and safeguarded, not bartered or sold as a product. In his opinion, any attempt to monetize someone's virginity would strip it of its value and meaning.

In this case, Arthur believed he was doing his best to help Claudina, who was in an extremely desperate situation. She was being tormented by everyone present and felt completely alone, with no one standing up for her.

The current situation that Claudina was in reminded Arthur of his own experience; being in a vulnerable state, surrounded by powerful people who were oppressive towards the weak, was an extremely unpleasant experience.

Arthur did all this to save the girl, not even considering the reward he would get for paying such a large sum. Virginity? Arthur shook his head in disapproval.

He believed that the most valuable thing a person has, whether it be virginity or anything else, should be given up voluntarily and from a sincere heart.

Around ten people in the room instantly rose from their chairs, all wearing black suits. Each had pulled out a gun, which they tucked at their waistband.

At this, Leo, who had been standing on the stage, was filled with panic and began to take a few steps back. "What's going on?!" he uttered in disbelief, completely taken aback by the unexpected turn of events.

Aston rose from his seat, clapping his hands softly as he gave Leo a stern look with a slight smirk. "Excuse me," he called out, "but I thought I heard someone say they had put in an offer of two million dollars?"

He then shifted his gaze to the stage where Leo was standing. "Is that true, Mr. Leo? Did someone really bid for two million dollars?"

Leo's body suddenly quivered as he felt his muscles go limp. Aston was a powerful figure in South Lake, wielding a level of influence that was unmatched by many. Nobody had any clue as to where he had acquired his immense wealth, but it was clear that he was not someone to be taken lightly.

"Yes sir, Mr. Glitzy offered a bid of two million dollars." he said.

Leo slowly turned to face Arthur, his throat tightening. "You really died this time, Glitzy!" He thought to himself.

Leo had enough money from the generous bid Arthur had provided earlier, enough to make him feel content. He had to figure out a way to get out of there without taking part in the scheme Mr. Aston was planning.

He was in a sticky situation; he had taken the right step in defending Mr. Aston, and now he was stuck.

Leo's body tensed up, and he felt a chill run down his spine.

"Alright, I believe this auction is no longer suitable for those with less money to participate in. Therefore, I urge those of you who feel financially disadvantaged to leave this place promptly."
