The Invincible Arthur Gardner novel Chapter 70

The following night, as Edna had arranged, a special dinner commenced celebrating Arthur's victory and the newfound momentum of his ambition for a brighter future.

On the top floor of the Golden Park Restaurant, Edna, Alicia, and Arthur's bodyguards had gathered, as well as - to Claudina's surprise - the thirty orphans from the orphanage whom Arthur had rescued at the auction Claudina had organized. Astonished that they had also joined them.

Arthur stepped into the grandiose room, the people already inside wearing masks that befitted the masquerade ball theme. The atmosphere was made even more pleasant by the sound of the piano and violin playing in the corner. All eyes were on him as he made his grand entrance in his sharp, black suit. His appearance was nothing short of dashing.

"Ah, it's Mr. Glitzy, he sure looks dashing...." exclaimed the orphanage, their eyes widening in awe at Arthur's presence.

"Mr. Glitzy, I want to marry him when I grow up," one of them said.

"Hey, were you dreaming?" scoffed another. "Mr. Glitzy only belongs to Claudina, you better marry me."

"No, I want Mr. Glitzy to be the only one," his friend replied determinedly.

"Is Mr. Glitzy will let me take a picture with him?" they asked hopefully. "I want to express my gratitude to him."

Edna stood up from her chair and walked over to the children, a smile on her red lips, which were partially obscured by a silver mask.

"Would you like to say hello to Mr. Glitzy in person?" she asked softly.

"Yes," replied the children excitedly. "We want to take a picture with Mr. Glitzy!"

Edna then brought the children closer to Arthur, who immediately elicited a sense of curiosity in their hearts.

"Hi, thank you for coming to tonight's event," Arthur said, his voice calm and soothing. A surge of happiness filled his heart as he watched the orphans, which reminded him of himself. He was overjoyed to know they were being provided with the care they deserved after he had made such a generous contribution.

"Mr. Glitzy, you are very dashing and kind," a 12-year-old girl said, walking up to him. "Can I come to this place more often to see you?"

"Yes, sure," Arthur replied with a smile. "I will come to your new house more often, once it's finished renovating, okay?"

After exchanging some friendly greetings with the orphans, Arthur walked towards the table in the middle of the room. Alicia was already seated and waiting for him. She smiled and waved at Arthur, calling out, “Mr. Glitzy Oppa, come here!”

Arthur smiled back, and, accompanied by Edna, he took a seat beside Alicia and faced Edna.

Edna beamed at Arthur and said, "Tonight must be a very special night, isn't it, Boss?"

Edna was elated as the number of personnel supporting Arthur increased by the day.
