The Invincible Arthur Gardner novel Chapter 97

"Good morning, everyone!" Arthur said, striding towards the chair he was to occupy.

The five people in front of him greeted him in unison with a salute. Arthur could see the five people he had chosen to finance their business idea. These included Sylvia, Fan Tian, and three other individuals.

"Please, take a seat," Arthur said, his dignified manner belying his young age of only 25. Five people followed, taking their seats nervously and facing Arthur with apprehension.

Arthur seated himself in the comfortable executive chair, his face retaining its serene and amiable expression. A moment of silence descended as Edna, standing to his left, busied herself with the necessary items for the upcoming interview. Finally, she took her seat in the chair to Arthur's left.

"Thank you for joining us today. To create a more familiar atmosphere and to get to know one another better, let us introduce ourselves once more."

Arthur rose to his feet, his face composed and a thin smile lifting the atmosphere of the room.

"Allow me to introduce myself," he said. "My name is Arthur Gardner and I own a hundred percent of this company. I have arranged for each of you to have a room, a team, and all the resources you need to make our mutual endeavors a success."

Everyone in the room then clapped lightly, smiles slowly appearing on their faces as a feeling of relief spread through the room. Arthur's friendly and humble ascetic had put them all at ease.

"She is Edna," Arthur continued, gesturing to Edna standing beside him with a warm smile.

"Hi, everyone," Edna said, waving her hand. "I'm the personal assistant of Boss Arthur. If there's anything you need or if you'd like to make an appointment with the Big Boss, please feel free to communicate with me," she said kindly, her friendliness and ease eliciting a smile from everyone.

"I hope you can all relax and get to know each other better," Edna continued. "Our big boss prefers a warm and friendly atmosphere in the room, he's no dictator, so feel free to speak your mind. Alright?" Everyone in the room nodded, feeling more at ease after hearing her words.

"Boss Arthur is certainly wise," one of them thought to himself, admiring the fact that even his personal assistant had the courage to openly praise him in his presence. It was evident that Arthur was a very approachable person who wanted to foster good relationships with those who worked for him.

Sylvia closed her eyes for a moment, savoring the elation that was bubbling up inside her. "I really like this place, and Mr. Gardner and Ms. Edna are so friendly," she thought to herself, determined to do her best to not let them down.

Fan Tian, who was seated between them, felt a wave of appreciation wash over him as he was treated with respect by the esteemed Arthur—a high-ranking and wealthy individual. Arthur truly understood the magnitude of Fan Tian's discovery, and Fan Tian was moved. He vowed to dedicate the rest of his life to perfecting his invention. "I am truly grateful," he said.

"Please introduce yourselves," Arthur said.

Sylvia stood up, adjusting her clothes. Her wavy and professionally styled brown hair framed her perfect face, which was a mix of seriousness, professionalism, and beauty that captivated anyone who looked upon it.

She began to speak, "Hi, my name is Sylvia. I would like to express my deepest gratitude for what Mr. Gardner has done for all of us, especially for me. I never expected that my ideas, which others considered crazy and nonsensical, would be met with such an open-mindedness from Mr. Gardner. He was even willing to consider them..."

Sylvia paused for a moment and lowered her gaze, taking a slow, deep breath. She was deeply moved, her strong and determined nature overwhelmed by the joy of knowing Arthur. She couldn't stop the tears of happiness, and as they started to roll down her cheeks, she quickly grabbed a tissue from the table and wiped her face in an attempt to regain her composure.
