The Kiss that Sparked it All (Ellinor and Theo) novel Chapter 2794

Even though Regina's words were as sweet as honey, Nolan still turned her down.

"Don't you underestimate me. They’re just clothes, not that heavy. Let’s get moving!”

Their banter didn’t escape the notice of the shop assistant working behind them. She was struck by how well-matched they seemed, a perfect couple. She wondered why on earth they weren’t together.

In the end, Regina still carried her nearly weightless necktie as she got into the car. Nolan was driving her home.

“Heading to the Tanner Mansion, right?”

Regina shook her head and gave him another address instead.

“Okay.” he said.

After a while, she asked, “Aren’t you curious why I’m not going home?”

“There’s nothing to be curious about. You’re an adult, and you don’t have to stay at home all the time. Besides, from what I’ve seen, you seem to enjoy your freedom when you're living alone.”

Regina laughed, “You only visited once and you’ve already figured it out. My dad and that mother-daughter duo have lived together for years and he still can’t see the reality. He actually think we get along great.”

Although Regina laughed, Nolan could sense the helplessness in her heart.

“Mr. Tanner is quite stubborn. As people get older, they cling to the idea of a perfect family. Just like my grandmother - she’s always urging me to find a wife and bring her home.”
