The Kiss that Sparked it All (Ellinor and Theo) novel Chapter 2838

Regina grumbled, "We know each other well enough, so why can't a meal make you satisfied? If not, how about two? As long as you can handle it, it's on me."

"You're on record now, so don't try to weasel out of it later. I'm gonna record this," he said.

"Well, I always keep my word."

Little did they know, that in the space of a mere month, their relationship would undergo a seismic shift, and such harmonious scenes would become a thing of the past.

Francis accompanied Imogen to her medical check-up. The moment he held the small piece of paper confirming the news, it hit him—he was truly going to be a father!

In front of the doctor, he pressed a kiss on Imogen's cheek as if they had no one around them, "Thank you for the baby you give me. From now on, anything you want, it's yours."

Imogen shyly dodged, a blush tinting her cheeks.

"Oh, stop it. We're practically an old married couple. Besides, everything I have is thanks to you, isn't it? This child is something I've longed for too. Such words are unnecessary," she chided gently.

Francis nodded happily, "Yes, you're right. From now on, you're the boss at home. Whatever you say goes."

Madeline never imagined that her mother would get pregnant at such a crucial time. A son could be a powerful ally for them, especially now with Francis basking in the joy of an unexpected late-life child, ready to give her mother anything she asked for. Introducing Nolan to her would be easily settled by Imogen’s pillow talks.

Francis, however, hadn't suspected Madeline was still setting her sights on Nolan. In his view, the two were a mismatch. If Madeline had any self-awareness, she wouldn't pursue such a folly.
