The Kiss that Sparked it All (Ellinor and Theo) novel Chapter 2840

After dropping that bombshell, Nolan stood up and left, leaving Regina alone with her thoughts. What marriage? When did she ever say she wanted to marry Nolan? Regina felt a shiver running down her spine as her secret longing was exposed.

What on earth had transpired during her time in the hospital?

Regina quickly flagged down a waiter, settled her bill, and hurried home. She had hoped for so much. They had been through thick and thin together, and their bond had surely deepened. She never dared hope that Nolan would fall for her, but since she had a crush on him, she was longing for him to give her just a little more attention.

But she never expected their story to end this way; her family had cut off her escape without her realizing it.

"Dad, spill it. Have you been to see Nolan? What exactly did you do?" Regina demanded as soon as she saw her father, Francis.

Francis never expected his daughter’s interrogation to come so fast. He stuttered, "See Nolan? He isn't someone I can just waltz up to whenever I feel like it. Don't overestimate your old man."

Regina, desperate for answers, wasn't buying his dodgy response. "Don't think you can fool me. Nolan's already told me everything. What are you trying to do, Dad?"

"Impossible!" Francis instinctively denied it. If Nolan had truly told her, how could she be talking to him so calmly?

"Honey, just come home, and I'll explain everything. Just remember that I would never do anything to hurt you."

Regina bit her lip. When would parents stop being so selfish with their plans for their children?

He said he wouldn't harm her, but now Nolan wouldn't even sit down to have a meal with her. What had happened during this time?
