Chapter 348 I Only Want Amanda
Jack didn’t want to mistreat the poor young man and cleared things up straight away. “Crispin, you’ve heard everything and we haven’t intended to take advantage of you on purpose. I haven’t taught my daughter well, so just act as if we’ve never brought up your marriage if you mind it—”
Before he could finish, Crispin burst out, “I’m willing to! Mr. Allegra, I’m willing to marry Stephanie. I will always want to marry her no matter what she has done, I can’t live without her.”
Stephanie’s tears rolled down her cheeks as she stared at the man before her. Is there a man willing to accept such a ridiculous thing?
Jack and Edith were stunned too since they assumed Crispin had only been after their family wealth. It seemed now that he really loved Stephanie to his core.
“Kid, are you really willing to marry her? Can you accept what has happened? Jack didn’t understand. After all, how could a man stand being cheated on, especially by a woman he loved?
Crispin had to make his performance as perfect as possible, so he faked a look of hurt and
disappointment. “I can’t, nor can I accept it. But, I can’t stand living without Stephanie even more and can’t live without her, so I want her.”
Ha! His words could make the people of Cludan tear up.
Both Amanda and Elias looked disgusted upon hearing that. It was so cheesy and nauseating: Crispin really would say anything to be a son-in-law to the Allegras..
“Stephanie, do you want to marry me?” Crispin asked as he looked at Stephanie sincerely.
At that point, Stephanie looked at a cold-looking Elias, whose gaze contained a hint of scorn, and then at Crispin, who only wanted her. Anyone would know what choice to make here.
And so, Stephanie gave up completely on Elias and shut her eyes. “I want to marry you!”
It was better to marry Crispin who loved her deeply than to let Elias continue degrading her.
“Crispin, take Stephanie back to her room, Jack commented.
Crispin nodded helplessly before helping Stephanie upstairs, but his lips curved up in an evil smile the instant he turned around. Everything was going according to plan. Even if it sounded callous, he had reached his goal. He had been the one who slept with her anyway, so it was okay as long as he knew he hadn’t lost out or been cheated on.
After Stephanie and Crispin were gone, Jack glanced at Elias and then at Amanda after some consideration. “Amanda, take your mother to the garden. I need to discuss something with Elias.”
Amanda glanced at Elias and made a noise of assent before helping Edith out of the room. Soon, both Jack and Elias were left alone.
Jack settled on the couch. “Have a seat.”
Elias sat opposite the couch, looking directly at the old cunning fox facing him. He already knew what Jack wanted to ask about.

However, Jack did not speak for a long time, only studying Elias quietly as if trying to discern something from the younger man’s gaze. On the other hand, Elias remained calm and silent, so Jack couldn’t read.
him at all.
“Mr. Allegra, just say whatever you want. Don’t play games. Eventually, Elias was the one to speak
up
first.
Jack’s expression was solemn as he stated, “I want to know if Stephanie saw you last night and whether you have done such a thing to her.”
“No. I’ve said it already. Why should I be afraid to admit to something I did?” Elias looked straight at Jack as he uttered the words calmly, his gaze firm.
Jack asked again, “So why did such a coincidence take place last night? Someone asked her to go to Cloudview Hotel where you incidentally were, and the waiter even said her breakfast was sent by one Mr. Winters. Was it not you?”
“That proves that someone is trying to frame me.”
Elias suddenly recalled that he hadn’t intended on attending the banquet, only joining in the merriment. after accidentally hearing that Amanda would be there. However, he hadn’t seen her at all,
which meant that someone was plotting against him.
Jack stared at him again. “Do you want to win my oldest daughter Amanda back?”
“Yes,” Elias answered truthfully. It wasn’t something he could hide; he always had wanted to do so, but he hadn’t gotten Amanda’s permission yet.
“You can only choose one between my oldest and my youngest daughter.” It was clear that Jack also suspected Elias as the man who had slept with Stephanie.
Elias was slightly infuriated and laughed coldly. “Mr. Allegra, you’re implying something here. I’ve married Amanda and have had a child with her. I only want her. As for Stephanie, I will only look into the man that has framed me.”
“Okay, then. I’ll be waiting for the news. If you find out who it is, allow me to deal with him. I don’t want to give that poor boy Crispin any trauma, alright?” Jack emphasized. He had already changed his impression of the young man.
Elias narrowed his eyes slightly. Why do I feel that things are progressing strangely? Is Crispin so useless that he can stand being cheated on? He really is willing to sacrifice his shame for the sake of wealth, huh?
In Stephanie’s room, Crispin helped her dry her tears. “Steph, stop crying. You’re making me sad.
“Crisp, are you dumb? Can’t you see that I’ve been finding opportunities to break up with you recently? I’m sullied now! Why do you still want to marry me?”
