“Jennifer, please refrain from speaking nonsense. Father is already distressed enough.” Jacques quickly gave his sister a stern look, signaling for her to watch her words.
“She’s right. If I had listened earlier, Mr. Freddie wouldn’t have gotten hurt.” Tyler stood up and shifted his gaze towards Jared.
He had always been wary of Jared and his gang, fearing that they would seize the treasure he had discovered.
However, even though the Summers family were the first to discover this treasure, they simply did not have the ability to obtain it.
“Mr. Summers, Mr. Chance has the ability to discern the arcane array from outside, and that proves he truly possesses genuine skills,” Freddie stated.
The art of forming arcane arrays was ever- changing and unpredictable. It was nearly impossible to anticipate what might happen next unless one personally set up the arcane array or stepped foot in it.
However, Jared was able to predict that Freddie would get injured by observing the arcane array from outside. This proved Jared’s understanding of arcane arrays to be superior to theirs.
Tyler nodded. At this point, he had no choice but to admit that Jared indeed had some real skills.
“My friend, I wonder if you would join us in breaking the arcane array. We are willing to share a portion of the treasure we find,” Tyler humbly asked, setting aside his pride.
“Why should I join forces with you when I can break it myself? Why should I let you guys be a part of it? You want me to share the treasure with you, huh?” Jared asked with a faint smile.
