The Medallion novel Chapter 1349

Boom!

With a burst of strong flames, the gates of the royal palace were opened, and smoke rose from all over the place. Then, Rocky turned into a light shadow and rushed inside.

At that moment, Woods was sitting on the throne in the royal palace. He immediately stood up when he heard a loud sound at the gates. In a blink of an eye, a figure appeared in front of him.

"Finally, you're here!" Woods wasn't surprised at all at the sudden appearance of the figure in front of him.

The man in front of Woods was no other than Rocky, who urged immediately, "Hurry up, let's go." After that, he turned around and began to walk out of the palace.

However, just as he turned around, a sinister smile suddenly crept at the corners of Woods' mouth. He slowly got a dagger glittering with green light from his sleeve and quickly stabbed Rocky who was totally defenseless and clueless.

Rocky did not expect at all that Woods would launch a sneak attack on him. Although he sensed that something was wrong and somehow dodged the attack, the green light dagger still brushed past his shoulder and left a ferocious cut.

"What are you trying to do? Why did you do that?" Rocky incredulously stared at Woods and coldly asked.

"Oh, don't blame me. I have no other choice. It's not easy for me to get to where I am today. I don't want to lose it. Spiritual King has promised me that he will not only make me hold onto the throne of the Timber Deity Empire, but also make me the emperor of the united human empires in the future. That will all come true if I capture you alive!" Woods seemed in pain as he was saying this, but it was obvious in his tone that he was full of ambition.

"Do you really believe what Alston said?" Rocky coldly snorted. He knew that Woods must be bewitched by Alston, but he also understood that Woods had done a lot to get the throne. The Timber Deity Empire had now become Alston's puppet, and the emperor of the empire would exist in name only. So, it was reasonable for Woods to be eager to prove himself. But even so, it was wrong of him to kill his old friend in such a way.

"I have no way back. What I can do now is to strive for this last opportunity. Just do me a favor, will you? You can never defeat Alston. He is now the Spiritual King of the unified spiritual race clans. His power is not something you can resist at all," Woods madly said.

"Is that all you have to say? If your sister sees you like this, she will be extremely sad and disappointed," Rocky reminded with a deep frown. He never expected that Woods would become like this. But of course, Rocky knew that power and desire could easily change a person, especially for Woods who was once a useless prince. What he had now was so precious that he would not easily let go of it!

"So, what if my sister sees me? Even if she is standing in front of me right now, I will still remain merciless," Woods viciously said.

"If that's the case, then it seems that we have nothing else to say to each other." Rocky knew that Woods had already made his choice. He could not change it and would not stay any longer in this place. Seeing that it was meaningless to continue, he turned around and was about to leave right away.

But just as Rocky turned around, he felt that the spiritual power in his body suddenly stopped circulating.

"Do you think I will let you go that easily? This dagger is smeared with a secret medicine of the Wood Clan. It can make your spiritual power useless in a span of an hour. I heard that your power has surpassed that of the spiritual race, but your body is still human. This secret medicine will definitely have an impact on you," Woods, who was behind Rocky, evilly said with a sly smile on his face.

Hearing that, Rocky clenched his fist. If it were someone else who did this to him, he would have instantly killed him. However, Woods was Alyssa's brother. If he killed him, it would just undoubtedly wound Alyssa. So, he still resolutely walked towards the gate of the royal palace.
