The Medallion novel Chapter 1450

"All right. You just have to make sure that Tessa would be safe," Harrison finally agreed as he issued a strict warning.

"You can trust me on that. Thank you very much, sirs!" Rocky quickly answered, nodding respectfully at Harrison and Timothy.

"Go on and have a rest. You already had a long day." Timothy waved his hand as he dismissed Rocky.

Rocky then bowed and left the Arcane Sword Hall. As soon as he stepped out, he saw that Tessa and Ramon were there, waiting for him to come out. Tessa immediately walked up to him and asked, "How did it go? What will they do to you?"

"Well, what do you think?" Rocky asked as he smiled brightly.

"Judging on your smug face, I should assume that they let you stay. Am I right?" Tessa guessed immediately.

"Yes, that’s right. However, they’re letting me stay on one condition." Then, Rocky fixed his gaze on Tessa and let out a mysterious smile.

"What is it? And why are you looking at me like that?" Tessa asked with furrowed brows.

"You have to be my disciple!" Rocky exclaimed out of nowhere.

"What nonsense are you talking about?! Why should I be your disciple? You’re not even qualified!" Tessa snorted coldly, thinking that Rocky was just messing with her.

"It’s true! The sect leader and the governor wanted me to teach you my unique skill. That is their condition for letting me stay," Rocky explained.

"Unique skill? Which one are you talking about?" Tessa asked, still confused but expectant at the same time.

"Remember the spiritual skill that I used to fuse the power of my spiritual beast with mine? That one that I used earlier during my match with Xavier?" Rocky replied.

"What?! I can learn that? You’re going to teach me such a powerful spiritual skill? I swear I’ll beat you up if you’re lying to me!" Tessa was so thrilled to hear it, but she was in utter disbelief that Rocky would agree to such a condition.

"I’m not lying! I promised the leader and the governor, and I fully intend to keep that. I have to make sure that you learn it. Otherwise, I will have to pack my things and leave," Rocky said casually as he lightly scratched his head.

"Don’t worry! I’m confident that I’m smart enough to learn anything that you will teach me. I’ll do my best. I promise!" Tessa even patted her chest to show her confidence and determination. But then, the very next moment, she lowered her head and asked, "Will it be too difficult?"

"Ha-ha! Well, you can worry about that when we start the lesson." Rocky chuckled and then turned towards Ramon who had been silent all this time. "If you want to learn it, I don’t mind teaching you together."

"No, thanks. First of all, I don’t possess a spiritual beast. And I just think that that unorthodox way of fighting doesn’t suit my style," Ramon said, obviously unwilling to lower his pride.

"All right then. I won’t force you," Rocky answered as he shrugged his shoulders.

"So, when are you going to teach me?" Tessa asked impatiently. It was obvious that she couldn’t wait anymore that her eyes were almost twinkling excitedly.

As they came into the light, it turned out to be the people from the Wild Spirit Land—Marcia and the others who were captured before.

Back then, Marcia led a team to investigate the mysterious area in the Wild Spirit Land and sneaked into the alien land alone. Consequently, she was the first to discover that there were other races from another world that were trying to invade the Wild Spirit Land. Realizing that their world was in grave danger, she deliberately let herself be caught to investigate the other world further. After being sent to this land, she was temporarily imprisoned in a concentration camp where she saw a lot of people, members of the spiritual race, and spirit-manipulated beasts that were also being held against their will.

Soon after, she discovered that the creatures from the alien land had already started invading and plundering her world. Therefore, after knowing this, she tried her hardest to get back to the Wild Spirit Land, but unfortunately, she didn’t succeed. Hence, she did all she could to gather information in the concentration camp to figure out what kind of land she was brought to.

Later on, Marcia saw Bryant and the other people from the Wild Spirit Land that were also captured. At that point, she knew that even though their land assembled the strongest army that they could form, they still fell into the hands of the Shura Race and also failed to destroy the door that connected the alien land and the Wild Spirit Land. Therefore, it was natural that she despaired and almost lost all hope.

However, since they were still alive, they couldn’t give up just yet. Not long ago, several humans and members of the spiritual race that were imprisoned in the camp were escorted away in different locations. None of them knew where they were being sent; thus, they were pretty anxious.

The group of prisoners where Marcia was included, happened to set out relatively later than the rest. Moreover, there were just a few of them, which was the reason why they were able to catch the Shuras escorting them off guard. Marcia led her fellow prisoners to fight back and managed to successfully escape.

However, as they fled, their enemies chased after them, killing many of their companions in the process. In the end, the only ones to survive were Marcia, Sabina, Allen, Marin, and Cherry, who was the current matriarch of the Butterfly Divine Clan.

"Master, why didn’t we enter the area of the human race of this land first? I think it should be safer to hide there. If the Shura Race came to find us, they would be looking for a needle in a haystack," Sabina asked in confusion. Right now, there were very close to the border of the human race. If they kept going, they would be able to enter the human region in about a day. By then, there was a huge possibility that they could lose the members of the Shura Race that were chasing after them.

"Although the Supreme Ether Land is in a situation of tripartite confrontation, the Shura Race is still the true ruler of the whole world. The human race and the spiritual race won’t be able to do anything to them, and they are also extremely afraid of them. Even if we sneak into the human region, as long as the Shura Race is that determined to find us, I’m afraid that they will still be able to have their way. The worse thing that could happen is that we would become the target of the all the human race here. So, I think that it’s better if we sneak into the military camp first. The military camp is a lot different. We can easily hide our identities here," Marcia explained.
