The Medallion novel Chapter 1460

While the two of them were talking, Miguel abruptly appeared with a few of his followers. He became infuriated when he saw that Tessa and Rocky were together. He scowled deeply, went straight towards them, and pushed Rocky away roughly and aggressively. He was acting like he had found Tessa cheating on him with Rocky, which was far from reality, and afterward, he turned to Tessa as if he didn't do something so rude.

He asked her sternly, "Where have you been all morning? I've been looking all over for you for a long time!"

"Where else would I be? I was at my father's house," answered Tessa. A disdainful expression quickly took over her face as soon as she laid eyes on him.

"Ah, I see. No wonder I couldn't find you."

As Miguel spoke, he threw a heated glare in Rocky's direction. Honestly, it didn't matter to him where Tessa was that morning, everything was acceptable for him as long as Tessa wasn't in Rocky's company.

"Anyway, there is nothing good you could want from me, so you should just leave me alone." Tessa pouted and rolled her eyes at Miguel, who just ignored her words.

"It's great that you have fused with a martial spirit at last. I think this is a sign, so I've already told the leader that it's about time for us to get married," Miguel told her loudly as if he was letting Rocky overhear on purpose.

"Why would I want to marry you? Stop dreaming!" Tessa's face darkened when she heard his boastful words. She didn't expect that he would suddenly mention their engagement out of the blue.

"Don't be too strong-willed, Tessa. Don't forget that you were allowed to enter this time thanks to my cousin's kindness, and she wouldn't have done anything if I didn't persuade her. You should give me credit!"

Miguel immediately retorted indignantly.

"What are you talking about? Hannah didn't tell me anything about that, and she definitely would have if what you're saying is true!"

Of course, Tessa didn't believe a word from Miguel, for she knew very well that he would lie just to get his way.

Miguel looked stumped for a moment as if he was caught by surprise. He probably didn't expect her to outright challenge his statement, and a guilty and uncertain look flashed quickly on his face. However, it was gone in the blink of an eye.

"She must have forgotten to tell you then. Anyway, I definitely asked her," he insisted firmly.

"Well, that doesn't change a thing. I will never agree to my engagement to you," Tessa retorted at once. She glared at him fiercely with a steely resolve, knowing that this was one battle she would never back down from.

"You can't do this! If you don't marry me, then who are you going to marry, huh? The whole Sword Spirit City knows of our engagement, so you can't deny it. And besides, the leader himself has attested to this," Miguel reiterated aggressively. His neck and face were red from agitation, although Tessa wasn't sure if it was because she had rejected him, or if it was due to the fact that she had humiliated him in front of Rocky.

"If I were to marry anyone, then I'd rather marry him and not you!"

Tessa yelled angrily, gesturing toward Rocky who looked shocked that he was suddenly involved in their fight.

"Me?!"

The last thing that Rocky expected was to be dragged along in their argument. He was at a loss whether to cry or to laugh.

"You brat! How dare you steal my woman?" Miguel grew even more agitated at Tessa's words. He already had a big problem with Rocky from the start, but this only intensified his hatred to unfathomable heights. Right now, he wanted nothing more than to tear Rocky limb from limb.

"Young master Miguel, it seems that you have misunderstood the situation. I didn't do anything to take her from you. It seems that she just prefers me. That's all,"

Rocky said impishly, adding fuel to the fire deliberately.

Miguel pointed at Rocky and shouted, "How dare you say that? You must be tired of living. Well, today I will let you know how powerful I am, and you'll be sorry you ever messed with my woman!"

At that moment, he was so furious that he forgot that Rocky was more powerful than him.

"Are you going to teach me a lesson?" Rocky asked calmly with a smile on his face, which only served to aggravate Miguel more.

"Cut the crap! I'll let you get a taste of my sword!" As Miguel waved his hand, the spiritual sword behind him instantly rushed up, transformed into a green flame shadow, and rushed straight toward Rocky.

"No! You're going too far, Miguel!" Tessa blurted out in surprise, as she had not expected Miguel to attack Rocky. She wanted to help Rocky out, but she felt a strong wind abruptly blow her aside. When she came to her senses, Rocky was already in front of Miguel's spiritual sword, which terrified her to no end. She felt a cold chill run through her spine.

In the blink of an eye, Miguel's spiritual sword swept a little over Rocky's shoulder, just as Rocky appeared in front of Miguel. Rocky's face had considerably darkened, taking on a cold, standoffish expression, which could make anyone tremble in fear.

"Young master Miguel, please be lenient wherever it is possible. I won't argue with you because you are the young master, but if you don't behave in front of me, I promise that you will regret it!"
