"Captain Ramon, I must admit, your breaking through to the King Realm means you are indeed powerful. But I'm afraid you will be at a disadvantage if you challenge me, seeing that you've just made the breakthrough!" Jasper arrogantly teased.
"We won't know what will really happen until we fight." Ramon's eyes narrowed at him.
"Well then, let's find out." As soon as the words left Jasper's mouth, the spiritual sword behind him instantly soared high into the sky. Yet, the next moment, it immediately dove down into the ground and disappeared from sight.
Jasper's Body-trapping Swordsmanship had the ability to easily pierce through stone which allowed it to hide underground, waiting for the right time to strike its clueless opponent.
But little did he know Ramon was aware of this technique. Ramon stood there with his guard down, acting as if he had no clue what was going on.
Everyone watching was also confused by what was happening. Although they knew that Ramon was a capable swordsman and was calm under intense situations, they sensed something different about him this time.
However, Jasper didn't waste his time to doubt why his opponent just stood there. He only had one goal in mind, which was to keep his position as the champion.
He didn’t let up the opportunity to strike his still foe. A loud metallic sound suddenly came from beneath and a sword shadow rushed out from the ground. Its aura wrapped Ramon’s whole body, making it almost impossible for him to escape.
To everyone's surprise, Ramon didn't struggle at all and let Jasper use the Body-trapping Swordsmanship to trap him completely in place.
The crowd burst into an uproar upon seeing that. They thought that Ramon should at least take the fight seriously even though he knew that he wouldn’t stand a chance. But the fact that he just stood still in the middle, not even opening his eyes, struck the nerves of everyone watching.
Soon, Ramon's limbs and torso were completely bound by the sword aura of the Body-trapping Swordsmanship. He was unable to do anything, let alone resist.
"I thought you were powerful, but now it turns out that you are just bluffing. Why did you still chose to fight me and humiliate yourself?" Jasper snorted.
Ramon still stayed motionless, but now he opened his eyes and looked at Jasper, as if he was waiting for his next move.
As soon as Jasper saw his opponent helpless, he didn't waste any more time and rushed forward to Ramon. Although the Body-trapping Swordsmanship was powerful, it had one fatal weakness. Once it was activated, the user had to focus all his energy in maintaining it. If he wanted to end the skill, he had to defeat his opponent.
In an instant, Jasper gathered his spiritual power at a very close distance and hit Ramon with his palm. He didn't even use his spiritual skill since he felt that his palm strike would be enough.
Almost everyone immediately regarded the battle as over.
The only two people who didn't think so were Rocky and Tessa.
During their secret training in the past half month, the three of them made astonishing progress, especially Ramon. He drastically changed his fighting style. Instead of choosing to fight long, gruesome battles, he chose to hone techniques that would allow him to end a fight with just one strike.
