"Okay," Rocky echoed.
When he was all set and ready, he came out of the lounge at the exact moment to see Ramon coming out as well, but he didn't budge and continued walking past him with ease.
It was apparent that Ramon didn't recognize him. A short time later, they set out on separate paths, leaving the lounge with the other representatives and heading for the Sword God Square.
When they arrived at the square, over twenty representatives had already lined up.
"Now, let's begin the test. Each representative will soon receive an envelope containing your specific task, and the scope of this mission lies within our Sword Spirit Sect. If you fail to complete the task within the specified timeframe, you are considered eliminated." Hannah personally announced the first test.
In no time, more than twenty representatives present received an envelope. When they opened it, they saw a thumb-width note inside, with a line of words indicating the task's contents.
"Let's begin," Hannah instructed.
After that, all the representatives quickly dispersed and carried out their tasks.
Rocky was waiting for everyone to leave before he moved out slowly. He didn't want to get too much attention until before finally going up against Ramon. He only hoped to avoid getting eliminated from the competition.
In truth, the test per se was easy, especially to those very familiar with the Sword Spirit Sect terrain. These representatives, who were all King Realm warriors, could accomplish the task without much struggle, but to those who didn't understand the region's geography, that would be another matter.
Because of this, Ramon had a clear advantage over this first test. It took him just an hour to complete the task.
Fifteen minutes later, one at a time, representatives of other sects and clans also returned.
However, with the allocated time almost expiring, Rocky still didn't make his way back. Timothy felt a little worried since Rocky's failure in his first task would screw up the plan that they had painstakingly plotted.
"Father, is something bothering you?" Hannah asked after observing the strangeness in her father's actions.
"Nothing. I noticed the speed at which Ramon accomplished the first task. It looks like he made enough preparations this time around. I'm amazed!" Timothy changed the topic right away.
"Yes, he seems to have read the entire test content, so he figured out how to deal with it." Hannah made a gentle nod.
Shortly after, with the time limit almost expiring, Timothy's face also appeared a little burdensome. His expression only loosened when a figure suddenly surfaced in the Sword God Square. Rocky showed up just in time for the deadline.
Certainly, Rocky wasn't as fortunate as he appeared to be. He deliberately checked the time before his return because he had to be discreet until the final round.
Half a minute later, the clock had run out.
Most of the representatives were back from their assignments. About two or three were not acquainted with the Sword Spirit Sect terrain, so they spent too long navigating their way. For that reason, they were unable to proceed to the next round.
Those who succeeded returned to the lounge to rest, pending the announcement for the second task to begin.
Two hours later, it was already afternoon, and the second task started as well.
Then, after two days of non-stop action with five consecutive tasks already completed, only eight representatives remained.
